Got a new deal for everyone!

This little camera is of great value.

The video image is clearer, sharper and superior compared to 1080p. It was easy to set up, and the pan-tilt feature provides whole-room coverage of my living room.

where are the outdoor weather resistant poe's? the kit goes on a small discount trip but a good offer on the poe's may go well.

    • You can take a look at Argus 2, it's on stock and has an 80% off offer for solar panel when you purchase both.

  • @OP: any deals for the Argus 2 ?

    • Argus 2 is out at the moment, no stock

  • One of the feature is mentioned this cam can be hooked up to Reolink NVR, any idea if this would work with an non-Reolink NVR's for recording.

I have been watching a bunch of review/install videos on Reolink. They do everything I need and seem to be a quality build.

The only thing I have found as a negative is that 'only Reolink cameras work with Reolink NVR's' - So if your camera or NVR dies you have to buy Reolink again. I dont like being locked into something like that. However if the price was right I might take the risk on Reolink.

I wonder if theres a possible hack you could do to get non Reolink cameras connected.

I've got one and it supports ONVIF so if your NVR can take an ONVIF feed, you should be ok.

    • What am I missing here as this camera doesn't have an Ethernet port so how does it hook up to the NVR?

      • As it connects via wifi you should be typically able to add this cam to NVR using the local IP ( thru onvif / rtsp) Google / ipcamtalk can better explain it

        • Thanks for the info. I'll check out your suggestion for details.

  • Does this come with an AU power cable?

    • +2

I can confirmed it comes with AU Adapter. I have bought via AliExpress, Amazon AU and Reolink website and they all come with correct adapter.

      • Awesome! Thanks @Bigboomboom

        • The Adapter plug is changeable so even if they sent you wrong one you can just ask for the AU plug to swap.

Personally I have 2 PoE outdoor, 1 Argus 2 with solar panel and the E1 Pro.

  • These camera's are nice, got two of them, would love one outside if it was weather resistant :(

    • You can take a look at Argus 2, it has an 80% off offer for solar panel when you purchase both.

  • Can I access it via local network PC or do I need internet and an app?

    • You can access it through PC or your phone via 2.4Ghz/5Ghz WiFi, but you have to download the Reolink App first and set up.

  • I know this might seem stupid but - Is this legit ?

If you click on the link and go to the Reolink website, then click on 'Deals' you are taken to a flash sale website. At first (due to how insanely cheap everything is) I thought it was all in US dollars. But it says 'ships from NSW' ? ? ? ?

    RLN8-410 8-Channel 5MP/4MP PoE Security NVR $193.00

    RLK8-410B2D2 8-Channel PoE Security Camera System $294.00 (Thats the NVR + 4 cameras (5mp & 4mp)

Most times I have found these they are around $600 and up.

Is it US dollars with local shipping or something ?

UPDATE: Wait…. I decided to open my eyes and read the title of the bargain…….US Dollars it is.

    • Reolink webshop only supports USD EUR and GBP at the moment

      • Still a great price in US dollars. Excellent deal.

      • warranty returns to au address then?

  • Yes these are legit from Reolink (ships via NSW). I bought a couple of Argus 2s and Argus Pros no problem. It arrived in 5-7 days after I ordered.

  • These make great baby monitors. Much better than the "baby monitor" from Baby Bunting we were gifted (which we returned).

    • It does lack Sound detection so it's not very good at Baby monitor though. Some camera send you alarm when detect certain sounds.

      • True. It does have motion detection though, but you'd get a lot more false positives.

  • Anyone used this on ADSL line ? Curious to see the video compression used as this stream 2.5K feed.
