Hi guys and girls,

Long time reader first time poster. xxxx

I believe this TV is the KDL55EX500 Model. For a FULL HD LCD with brand name backing, I don't know where you can find one cheaper than this. This is sold at the exact same price at Bing Lee about a week ago, but for us WA'ers :)

I bought this exact same TV @ $1,499 less than 2 months ago from the good guys, and I thought I had a bloody good deal then.

I've owned Sony TV's all my life and never had anything go wrong on me.

  'for us WA'ers'

  Unfortunately WA is bigger than perth, so I'm out of luck. No delivery to broome (at least not cheap, it's POA) so I'll stick with JB hifi and their free postage for TV/audio purchases.

  Seems this line is becoming cheaper and cheaper though, probably making way for new models soon.

  i owned a Sony Bravia full HD that i bought back in 2008 and it still outperform the some of the current Samsung LCD Full HD TV. I won't buy anything else but Sony from now on.

    Same here, Sony makes very reliable products. The Bravia TVs gives better picture quality then Samsung's.

  Just a note, in case anyone doesn't know and for comparison, this is last year's model (the current model is EX520) and non-3D; and there was a 55" current 3D model a few days ago for ~$1993.
