not the same experience. i ordered a vacuum cleaner monday morning. Got it delivered Wednesday morning. Very quick through Aust post.
It's because some items are shipped directly from manufacturer/different distributer, which is out of BigW's control. I ordered a cheap backup Nokia phone from BigW a while ago and it took 3 weeks to arrive. On the other hand, items directly from BigW, I received within a few days.
I guess it's sort of like Amazon.
Too bad it ends on the 21st because there is a staff discount of 10% a week after.

you know what irks me, that big w charges $175 shipping fee for a garden shed. 33% - 50% of the item value in shipping is just insane. Ive been dying to get one, thinking maybe once it will come under the free shipping promo, but never do they ever do free shipping on garden sheds, even though they never specifically exclude them.
Even to get a foundation kit for a garden shed is $75 to get shipped, yet the item costs $120. Ridiculous.
It would be good if you could pick it up from a depot or store for free, even if you did have to wait for it to arrive.
This promotion is misleading if you ask me.
did the 'on selected items' and 'some exclusions apply' bits not give you some sort of clue?

the thing about shipping: it's determined by weight and size, not percentage of the item cost.
Last time I ordered from bigW I waited patiently for 3 weeks only to get an email from them saying that I have cancelled the order. I never cancelled the order. what a joke!
man the shipping time from bigw online is appauling! you guys really need to get it under control… took a few weeks for my shreder to arrive, took a few days for my CBs to arrive from Dick smiths!
