$39.95 for Genuine Leather Jacket at Target [Eastgardens NSW]

60

I was in target at Eastgardens Westfield yesterday and saw that their Free Fusion branded leather jackets had been marked down to clearance from $149 to $39.95. Thought it was a pretty good bargain for a genuine leather jacket so thought I would share. They had xs, s, m and xl left. Plenty if jackets, also had some in the same price in the hot options brand. I took photos on my iPhone but the noob that I am can't figure out how to upload on here lol.

Real or "bonded" leather? (As sausage is to steak.)

    • "Genuine leather belts - only five dollars! You'll never pay full price again!"

  • you sure it's not 'faux' leather ? i.e Sneaky way of saying 'fake'leather for those who don't speak french

given ebay link above, it seems like faux leather to me. Haven't seen Target ever sell real leather jackets either

Have seen leather jackets (not faux) at Target so yes they do sell them. They have been dropping the price gradually over the last month or so. Quite a few different styles from what I have seen. Can't remember seeing much from Free Fusion though - I think they were mostly Hot Options and City Dressing.

I picked up a Hot Options faux leather jacket from Target a while back reduced to $11 (was originally $59) so I suppose $39.95 for a leather jacket is not bad - if you can find a good style.

  • All that cattle that was banned for export to Indonesia has created an excess supply of leather which has resulted in the price of leather to drop substantially. ;)

  • i dont think their free fusion stuff would be real leather, free fusion is for teenagers.

    • … and teenagers don't wear leather?

      • I don't think most teens are able to even distinguish between leather and faux leather. And only a few even bother looking at the tag to see what material it is made up of.
How I know this…I worked in a clothing retail chain

  • Yesterday I was getting a keratin treatment on a JOI voucher in Freo WA and one of the ladies at the shop went away for quite awhile. When she came back, she had some leather shorts that she got for $15. They had been $79. I went over to target later and they had about 8 leather jackets, all size 18. Not my size so I didn't check the price.
