      Thanks - price revised to $499 :)

  • Does this have a battery? Or does it need to be plugged in

    • Sorry no battery, it needs to be plugged in

      • So why would i get this over a $150 usb powered monitor??

        • +4

It's geared for console gaming on the go, simplifies the transport/logistics by having everything in one sturdy unit. Much like a laptop, simply open it up, power on, and go. A lot of these units are sold to military personnel, truck drivers, aircraft crew, healthcare workers, mining workers, etc.

        • All about the compliance, this case is TSA certified which makes it acceptable on planes and government facilities.

I've got two of these for deployments. They cost a bit but when it's the only way you can get you gear where you need it.

  • Looking at description, I assume that it needs to be plugged in. And with ps4 inside the total weight becomes 6.2 kg.

Not even battery operated, might as well take a $150 screen instead.

yeah i got myself a portable 15" monitor from amazon for my nuc and it does wonders.

    • might as well take a $150 screen

Sure if you like gaming on a screen so blurry it looks worse than PS2 motion blur.

When it stop moving you can admire the 6 bit colour rendering which makes everything look like bad CGI from the 90s.

  • I could think of plenty of better ways to spend $500

  • I've got this and the vanguard, the huge attraction behind these is the compliance ratings on them meaning you can fly with them and take them into government buildings.

Yes they're overpriced, but the quality is there and so is the ability to get stuff around.

What's not there? the Guardian Pro XP….. seriously it's been out 3 months and no one in australia is able to get it :(

    $500 for a monitor lol

    • +1

It is more than a monitor… it is a monitor in a case… but still…

  • Would love to see a battery version or at least USB-C so powerbank can power it
