  I bought one of these from the last Amazon deal a couple of weeks ago for my 5.5YO Christmas. He loves it, comes with 2 niMH rechargable battery packs for the car, USB recharge cable and x2 AA alkaline batteries for the remote.
  Takes a real beating as it flips when hitting obstacles, it's awesome. Controls are not traditional however but easy to learn - push both levers up to go forward, both back to go backwards. One up, one down to spin. Its done this way because technically there is no front or back on the car due it spinning/flipping.

  Also bought one and the kids like it…just wish it was a bit bigger and a smidge faster (struggles to go up and over a jump)
