The WH-1000XM3 are a great choice, The noise cancelling is quite good (at least on mine.)
Twice this price, though
I got mine for $200.
@WoodYouLikeSomeCash: You're just going to leave us all hanging like that? Where the heck did you get brand-new WH-1000XM3s for $200 AUD?
The cheapest deal ever posted on OzBargain was $289 (though there was a $279 offer but it was limited to a single Sony Store in NSW).
Very opposite experience for me with these cans, and I've had them for just over a year now, using them daily for about 2 hours at least. Especially noticable when Im walking on the street or in the bus, when I turn off the noise cancellation, the bus sounds and street noise increases dramatically and impacts the quality of listening. Of course, if you want top of the line noise cancelling, then the price will match that experience. However for me these were more than acceptable and a joy to use, especially as they are super comfortable and they last a very long time between charges.
EDIT: Also dont forget 3.5% cashback on these via ShopBack and Cash Rewards, so it will bring the overall price down a tad lower.
Nice
Slightly cheaper at Logan, then price beat at Officeworks.

I believe this. But would have been stolen goods though
I don't need great Noice cancellation as I'd mostly use these at home in the home gym, so I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on the sound quality and comfort? Does the sound compare to the WH-1000XM3 at all?
You really don't buy wireless NC headphones for sound quality and the majority of the popular models you see being posted on OzBargain (Bose QC 35 II, Sony WH-1000XM3, etc.) are not designed with exercise in mind at all.
I have the WH-1000XM3 and wearing them while I do a serious workout at the gym would absolutely ruin them. The construction is not durable enough and the fake-leather padding on the ear cups does not react well with sweat and oily skin and looks like a hot mess even after a few days of wearing them while commuting. They also aren't very breathable due to their design being tailored to maximising passive isolation, so they would get incredibly hot on your head. It might be surprising to hear that $400 (RRP) dollar headphones aren't that well-made (and it's the same case with the Bose QC 35 IIs) but the majority of the production cost for wireless NC cans goes into the noise-cancelling circuity.
Get yourself something cheap, practical and purpose-built like the Sony Waterproof Walkman, which will isolate a lot of sound thanks to great passive isolation (despite not having active NC), never come out of your ears regardless of what exercise you're doing and is designed to be worn while swimming in a pool, so water/sweat damage isn't a concern. They'll also keep your head a lot cooler and won't ever get uncomfortable. I've had two generations of the Waterproof Walkman now and there's no better workout headphones imho.
Each to their own but Great sound headphones Got it from Sony ebay for $135ish. Absolutely love it. Great for movies and music. Don’t expect too much from Noise Cancelling.
I bought this before, turned on the noise cancelling and didn’t notice any difference. Sent it back, got a replacement. Same thing. I let my colleague try both and he said he couldn’t tell the difference either. Very disappointed. So I went with the wh 1000 xm3, which was really nice in terms of noise cancelling.
