      available again, get it quickly

      • Got them :P

  • Can the Samsung EVO Plus be used in gopro running 1080 60 fps?

    • +2

Yes. I recently was on a cruise and used a couple of these cards in my gopro 7 black and even my nikon D750 camera. Never had any problems with it except that I
didn't had enough cards to record many peaceful cruising along the ocean videos. So this is one of the reasons why I bought this deal and
have 3 more 128Gb cards coming along in the post. :)

    Back in stock.

  • +2

kinda weird to see that they have unlimited amount of stock… hitting almost 4k now…

  • Thank you OP!

  • +6

Just a heads up that these don't have very good performance. Often mixed up with the "Extreme" models, which are far superior

Now just be aware with this issue:

    I got 9 of those 32GB Sandisk Ultra CZ48 from shopping square's recent 3 for 1 deals,

Up on benchmark testing 4 out of the 9 units , (crystal disk mark 7 or TxBench)

All of the 4 drives became write protected right after just one testing.
They are still write protected on other USB ports or other computers.

And ,for some reason, Australia is not supported in Sandisk's replcement cover, at least their online replacement form doesn't include Australia).

I wonder what's the problem with shopping square's units, and what's the reason Sandisk doesn't cover Australia .

A simple benchmark testing would not put a usb drive into write protected mode.
USB drive became write protected because itself found there's serious problem , to prevent data loss, it put itself into write protected mode.

No, there's no button or switch to enable or disable the write protected mode on the usb drive.
And since it's chip and chip controller is unknow, currently there's no factory tool to re-provision the drive.

    • +5

The Amazon reviews for this product mention the same thing, they go into "write protected mode." Anyway thanks for the heads up.

      • +3

Cool, and I found people in other country also telling the same thing.

So unless those are dirt fake units, those should be called 'Sandisk Ultra Suck Drive',
it is way below the entry level.

        • Were you able to contact the seller for replacements or a refund?

          • +1

@CodeXD: I only found the problem today.

Thinking what could I do now.

Sandisk online replacement form does not include Australia.

Thr USB drive doesnt have serial number printed on the case.

Shopping Square could cover the problem, but they are famous for not like to support their customers

      • No this software is disabling write protect from the system side.
The USB drive doesn't even work on other computers.

I tried this software as well but no it doesn't help.

The flash chip or the chip controller has failed inside.
It's like you got your new car, you want to see what it feels like when it running at top speed, then it's gone, forever.
And it happens 100% for the car in that model

    • +1

Jeez, thanks for the heads up. Will benchmark and stress-test these for several hours as soon as I receive them. If they play up, I’ll request a refund immediately

    • +1

Hmmm, now that you say this, similar thing happened to mine but after a two years I thought it was random so I bought the 64GB deal one which says AU warranty! Speed was alright while working but no where near my Extreme USB stick but still reasonable

    Testing data and chip details

    • +3

      God, that write speed.

    • Can anyone suggest a tool to give them a good test and hammering - I'm on a mac

    • That test is for 32GB, not 64GB.

  • +10

Sent a message to Sandisk asking why Australia is not included in the online replacement form.

    New Zealand is.

I hope the reason is something like Australia is big, not because we have https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/368351

    • +1

      Yikes!

    • +4

Omg i just went down the rabbit hole of that thread. Thanks for the lesson. I wish that forum page could be stickied. Will try to link it in the comments of any deals i see for this company. Very telling that their ozbargain reps remain silent on the issue.

      • So did I.. and wow what a read.. definitely thinking twice about ever buying from these guys again…..

  • Thanks OP 👍

  • Somehow my postage went triple…

    • +1

I have prime, not too sure what none prime members will see the postage as. Are you sure you only added 3 to cart? They don't let you have multiple of the buy one get 2 free in a single transaction. So you will need to do 2 transactions if you want 6

      • Yeah. Added 3 items only. got $30 off on the items, but the postage went up

  • Works with the $20 voucher with eBay Plus trial

    Ordered 3 $20 items, payed $0

    • +1

Same, what a way to finish the decade!

    • +1

      Thanks.

      Ordered 3 $20 64Gb microSD cards, payed $0.

Only at the final stage does the free $20 get offered.

Need to click through to the last screen of ordering and paying to get the $20 offer.

  • Not a bad deal at all!

edit: Okay, touch wood the drives actually work. OMG.
    Forum post on seller: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/368351

  • Why is C&C $14.95?

    • It still has to be shipped there I suppose.

      • +1

        Get eBay plus.

      • +1

        It doesn't cost $14.95 to ship 3 flash drives….

        • +1

          Evidently it does.

          • @Clear: Do you believe everything you're told?
Postage would be less than $5, leaving them to pocket $10+.

            • @Oz-Bogan: Not at all. They're ripping you off big time.

              • +1

@Clear: Naaah…not ripping off. Just trying to deceive. Which is worse.

                • +2

@Oz-Bogan: Those taking advantage of this would have eBay plus anyway

                • +3

@Oz-Bogan: They are technically deceiving eBay. They basically need feeBay to fund that $14.95. It is kinda like the really old trick (which no longer works) where seller put $0.99 for the item, but put super high postage to dodge the hefty final value fee. FeeBay realised it and simply changed the final fee calculation to include postage.

Clearly feeBay is closing a blind eye on this (for now).

    • eBay Plus scam. This sellers seems to be the only one who still offers free postage if you have eBay Plus (of all the deals posted here). I bet anyone buying this won’t be receiving a parcel that had $15 spent on postage.

  • EBay plus still costs…not worth it for the few Ebay purchases I make in a year.
    Refer point 1….

    • +1

I also replied to another one of your comments about this. It looks like the write protect issue is only with 32gb versions, I have not been able to find any review about it for 64gb.

      • Lets see when the 64GB arrive

        • omg.. so should I refund this purchase then? Looks more trouble than good…

  • +1

I prefer the SanDisk Ultra Fit, they are faster 130Mbs & cheaper but not three for one offer but they are free post!

  • You've got a talent for picking the wrong things to put as your title 😂

    • Worst super power ever XD

  • +1

    Out of stock again.

Worth noting that ShoppingSquare is still doing 2 for $16.94 here.

  • Can someone confirm these are genuine?

    • +1

At the designed serial number area, no serial number was printed.
Shoppingsquare provide tax invoices for other orders but not for those Sandisk Ultra 32GB USB drive order.
They will die right away after a benchmark test.
Submitted photos to Sandisk, wait for their thoughts.
Sandisk doesn't include Australia in their online replacement form.
Sandisk Ultra USB 3 drives have 5 years warranty.

  • +2

Update from Sandisk, for the questions about the Sandisk Ultra 32GB:
Asked me to provide photos and product code serial number etc to check if it is authentic.
Did not answer my question about why Australia is not included in the online replacement form.
(So if you need support, you'll have to go through chat/email/phone).

    Facts:
The 32GB USB drive doesn't have serial number printed on the case, there's an obvious place for the serail number to be printed I think.
ShoppingSquare usually will send you an tax invoice via email for your order. But for those 9 32GB units ( in 3 orders), they didn't provide any tax invoice.(Purchased on 5th Dec).
H2testw will pass write and verify, won't kill the drive.Average write speed 12MB/s for writing 29GB, Typical USB 2 speed.
TxBench will make the drive became write protected right after the benchmark.
CrystalDiskMark7 will make the drive became write protected right after the benchmark.
It happens on different computer/laptop so it's not my computer's problem.
Diskpart regedit etc can not recover it.
It seems to happen often, my friend bought the same model in other country and having the same problem(after some daily use not benchmark testing).

Sandisk switched to use their own flash chip controller, thus the chip controller and the chip can not be identified in most tools.
And there's no factory tool available to reprovision the usb drive.
I guess this is for cutting cost as well as fighting with fake usb drives.

Update on trying to get warranty from Sandisk:

After I opened online support, provided problem description.
I was asked for clear pictures for the product.
After I provide some photos and snapshots, I was asked for purchase tax invoice.
I told them I have 9 from shoppingsquare and have tested 5 out of them, all 5 has the problem.
When I tried to submit the tax invoices, I found my account on Sandisk website has been disabled (or password changed),
have to reset the password and found the support question/request has been closed.

Am using lastpass so no it's not I changed the password.
