  • Bonus battery via redemption

ONLY if you send a total of "$1399 or more", according to the 2nd image on the product page.

  • +2

    OK, found it. https://www.guaranteedtough.com.au/
You get a 4.0Ah 18V battery - which Bunnings currently sell for $93 by itself.
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/dewalt-18v-xr-li-ion-4-0ah-batte…

    So not a bad deal.

    • You sure you get the bonus battery? Went through the site and no where to select blower for bonus battery

      • I thought it was part of the landscaping deal but this model isn’t there. No idea where to find the bonus battery.

        • +1

Try "purchase a selected 18V or 54V XR bare unit, redeem a 18V XR 4Ah battery pack."

    • Do you know how long it would last approx on 4.0Ah battery?

      • IF, ShinyDiamond is correct and 54V tools can use 18V batteries, I'd guesstimate ~5-6 minutes from a 18V 4Ah battery.

This is based on the Dewalt product page saying you'll get 15 minutes from a 54V 3Ah (18V 9Ah) battery.

  • +3

Lame dewalt. Could at least give a 54v compatiable redemption battery for the blower. The 18v redemption battery won't even work with this blower.

    • Just checked the price of a 54v battery. $136 for 6Ah, $189 for 9Ah and $289 for 12Ah.

BTW the Ah rating is based on 18v use. If you use them in 54v tools, it's 1/3rd, so 2, 3 and 4Ah respectively.

At least they charge in the old 18XR charger, so some may already have one.

I can see why the skin is discounted. The batteries are bloody expensive.

      • As far as I understand this skin got discounted is because the new 54v blower is launched, DeWalt DCMBA572N-XE. Ever time a new model comes out, the old one gets discounted. Just like the old 18v jigsaw, it was half priced

        • Any jigs still floating about anywhere you know of?

    • +1

It works. Its just the Amps gets decreased (divided by 3)

  • +2

Just to be aware, if you do buy over $1399 of Dewalt and go to claim the 5ah battery as per their website, this negates any other bonus you might receive for individual tools…you can choose one or the other. I found this out the hard way! Pretty poor form from Dewalt.

  • Anyone got a link to an 18v Dewalt charger for a good price? Best I can find is $134
    https://www.totaltools.com.au/109869-dewalt-10-8-18v-battery…

    • I'll see you one brand new no box. $120 delivered

    • Try Gumtree, you may find brand new normal charger for $50 or fast charger for $100 if you are lucky.

      • -2

Also with some luck we could root the lady selling it. With luck the sky is the limit

        • I had sold a few normal charger for $50, and a few fast charger on gumtree plus ebay. And that is the market price on gumtree. I buy and sell tools.

Duplicate deal - this was one of the many deals posted on Boxing Day at Sydney tools (that is still live) and their rep said they would provide batteries up front: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/508499

    • +3

Except this is from Bunnings so it isn't a duplicate post.

    • How can this be duplicated? $98 is a tiny 18v blower, and $149.25 for a "54v" large blower

  • +1

You’re probably better off getting this blower (more powerful) with a 6aH flexvolt battery:
    https://sydneytools.com.au/product/dewalt-dcmba572nxe-54v-fl…

It’s also part of their “buy 2 landscaping” deal.

    • $329..

I wouldn't buy into their ecosystem if you're not in it already.

Either get the skin if you're in it or stay out.

I have a $150 drill with 6ah battery so the skin is tempting except I just bought a bloody ozito

  • So did anyone buy this? How do get the battery without spending $1399

    • +1

$1399 is a different offer, it has been there for months

  • Did anyone get a confirmation email after they completed the online battery redemption?

    • +1

      nope

    • No mate, I've submitted a few claims this week and haven't received any confirmation emails.

      • I had to ring them as I didn't get a confirmation either.. They said that they didn't get either of my claims. Recommend following up!

    • I got 'your redemption form has been submitted' when I applied but no confirmation email as yet

      • I got that message too for each of my claims.

      • I think from memory that's all I got until whatever it was turned up one day.

  • Just bought a $309 cordless recipro saw from Syd tools in Erina
Can confirm you get the battery straight away and this deal was the 54v/18v 6a battery (auto changes its setting)

    Monster tool and monster battery
    https://sydneytools.com.au/product/dewalt-dcs388n-xj-54v-fle…

  • Great price. I just bought a 18V DeWalt blower for $99
Last one at my Bunnings otherwise I would have posted a deal

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/dewalt-18v-xr-li-ion-brushless-b…

    • Also thanks for the redemption detail. I didn’t know I could get that! Free battery, sweet :)
Bought a 3A battery and charger for 169 so all up 259 for the skin, charger and two batteries. Happy with that.

  • +1

If anyone needs this blower. Syd tools have it for $149. Price match at bunnings for $149 - 10% = $134.10. To late for battery redemption though as that ended NYE.

  • Anyone received the free battery yet?

    • Just received an email confirmation that it will be delivered in the next 7-14 days

      • How long has it has been since you submitted the redemption request (trying to work out of I need to follow-up my request)?

        • I submitted on 28th december.
          Maybe check your junk mail…

          • @Ron-an: Arh ok - I submitted mine on Dec 31 I think so I will wait a few days
