  • this is a really good machine I bought it for 1700 one year before.

    • Did you experience the same noise issues as some reviewers on productreview.com.au?
      Thx

      • +1

no never, its actually very quiet compared to others. if you put clothes above the limit then any machine makes noise. the machine comes with 10 years of motor warranty.

        • +1

Thanks matey. Picking one up tomorrow!

        • You sound like someone who works for the company, just saying

      • +1

The noise issues they refer to happened to my Mum when hers was delivered & installed by so called "Intelligent Couriers"…

Long story short, they left the 'Transit rods' in the machine (drum was rubbing on them), needless to say i demanded a new machine be delivered, as a few wash cycles had been performed by the time i got there to check out the problem…

Quiet as a mouse now… She's very happy with it & paid ~$1k…

  • I bought the F&P 9KG model 2 weeks ago - happy with it so far.

  • I had the 8.5kg. Drum bearings failed after 3 years.

    • I have the same 8.5kg model and no issues for 1.5 years. Clothes come out cleaner than my previous machine and I like the easy iron setting for my work clothes. The only minor issue is that sometimes it'll take about 10 minutes more than what the timer says originally.

Worth looking at just for the novella review at the end 😂

    • +1

The person who had the exact same fault with 2 units, I wonder if they failed to remove the shipping bolts.

Our 9kg unit is whisper quiet on 1200rpm spin cycle.

Reading that review gave me a literal headache. Now those $0.99 Panamax tabs from chemwarehouse will come in use.

    bulky items like pants

    Parachute pants?

These are a great machine. I bought the 7.5kg version second hand (as new condition) to upgrade from an old top loader. Our water bill has dropped heaps and clothes come out much cleaner and smell fresh. Owned for 5 months now and can't fault it. Just be sure you read the specifics of the cycles. The quickwash has a smaller weight capacity than the full wash, which I didn't realise for quite a while. Just sometimes takes longer than what the timer says but I hear that's common with front loaders as they pause to rebalance themselves

  • Thanks OP what great timing, one of our older washing machine died yesterday.

    Order placed.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one. Great price at right time. Will HN pick up and dispose the old machine? Been tossing between Bosch German made and Samsung Addwash but I think 700 bucks for 10kg is a real bargain.

  • Hm. I’m starting to doubt my $600 7.5 KG bosche purchase now.

    Top Loader 4Life!
    :P

    • +4

      Your loss!

  • Back to 988. Missed it. Crap!

  • I'd be trying to get the next model up with 1400 rpm spin cycle.

Clothes come out so much dryer and take no time to dry either hanging out or in a clothes dryer.

    • "..and take no time to dry either hanging out or in a clothes dryer."

      Why bother?

      • +2

Because wearing wet clothes isn't fun…

        • +1

If they take no time to dry they are not wet…

  • This deal is Back, just checked and it shows at $697

    • Shows 900+ to me on that link atm.

  • Am I just wasting electricty and water if I don't need a machine that size? It's a fair bit cheaper than the 8.5kg's machines that I have been looking at.

    • +4

You could just use the quick cycle (up to 6kg load) or super quick (up to 2kg) instead of using a normal cycle. We wear our clothes 1-2 times before washing so they are only lightly soiled and find the quick wash to be fine for a small load. It automatically senses how much water it needs and I doubt electricity would be much higher than a smaller model anyway

      • Yes good points. Cheers!

AppliancesOnline matched the deal $697 + shipping ($49) last night but I didn’t pull the trigger.

They wouldn’t match the price this morning when the HN deal was down, but would do it for $709. Turns out that included shipping, so ended up $37 better off.

    • Did you call them up to do that or do they have a live chat feature?

      • I did it on live chat this morning. Last night was over the dog and bone.

  • Nooo it's gone. Just got my HN gift cards..

    • Yes just saw the same thing. It went away before, maybe it comes back?

      • +1

just called local hn ,and they agreed to sell at 697 ,waiting to pick up before they closed..

  • Deal's gone. Hope it comes back. Have a 8 year old F&P which needs replacing now.

I bought one instore at Auburn just over an hour ago - might be worth heading in?

    • I went into HN Fyshwick and they had put the price back to 997

  • +1

Just went to Harvey Norman Carindale Brisbane and they had it marked at $697 - seems Harvey Norman official pricing still at $697 - unlikely to last long

    • Hmm I might try again tomorrow then.

    • And big thanks to OP !

  • +2

deal is still going in store. picked one up a few hours ago from the auburn store for 697. Has an OK rating on Choice.

  • +2

Just picked up mine from HN Campbelltown. The in-store price is $697. 3 pieces left. Approx 2 more days at same price.

  • +1

you can always price beat with GG.

Normally I do purchase on higher price from The Good guys, submit online claim n get rewarded 120% of the price difference

    • Only if you also pay extra for the concierge service..

And now they only provide the 120% as store credit not an actual refund ?

  • +2

Heads up people I just scored the same price $697 at Chirnside Park Vic, I was also a sucker for the extended warranty so all up I paid $836.
    Not including delivery

    • I don't suppose you have a picture. My local wouldn't go to $697.

  • +1

    We bought home one yesterday.
If your machine made the noises like the negative reviews said,
    please read the instructions too:

Remove the Transit bolts and ALL The BARS at the back before use.

We bad the same issues and done what it said, now it's perfect.
