Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen $159 and Free Standard Delivery @ Manny's Music

170

Hi all, first time posting. I researched the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen quite extensively before Black Friday and jumped on another sale at $190. I haven't seen it anywhere close to this price.

This is $159 plus free standard delivery.

Probably a fairly niche product, but those who want to play/record music through a computer and bundled software will know what I mean. There are deals on other Focusrite products on here but I'll leave you to comb through them.

Enjoy!

This is part of Boxing Day Sales for 2019

  • This or Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (2nd gen)?

    • +1

That I don't know (But I spent a long time chewing over it). My brother has the 2i2 and does a lot of semi-pro recording, but said he never uses more than one input. We agreed that with a condenser mic and a single input for guitar etc, we can't see a reason for anymore.

So the solo it is for me!

    • Depends upon whether you need the features of the 2i2 or not. Both are good. I have the Behringer UMC204HD. Like the earlier poster said of the 2i2, it's overkill for the use I make of it. A UMC22 would have been sufficient for what I've used it for so far. Price wasn't an objection with the Behringer when I bought. With the price of Focusrite Scarlett products it would be a consideration.

    • Only you can answer how many inputs you need to record at once.

Also available for the same price at Store DJ if that suits anyone better.

    • FYI, they are the same company.

      • That is some useful information, thank you.

  • I've been using this for recording vocals for various things at home, really user friendly. No issues to report. Also use the headphone input which is fine upto 200 ohms.

  • would definitely recommend this brand!

I have the 2nd gen 2i2, and it does its job perfectly, and was super easy to set up!

  • Solos are great little devices. If you're a pianist/vocalist, though, I would recommend a 2i4 for the MIDI in/out- one less input to worry about when gigging, and gives you two mics to play with- perfect for podcasting.

    Would this work for podcasting?

  • What software you are using for recording with it?
