of course they have .. after i purchased the other one (waiting till new year to get it though) haha cheers for the post

  • Man, how much markup they put on!! Normally sell for around $50, now selling under $20. Must have costed them something like $10.

I'd say they don't mind selling at a loss just to stop people thinking about shopping elsewhere

  • Still showing full price on bunnings website

    • That's interesting. I am in Melbourne. Here is a screen shot https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/39370/75627/2019-12-22…

      • Might be VIC only? I'm in Sydney and it shows at full price for me too.

        • I have tried all other capital city post codes and it is $18.90. Maybe still updating their website.

Will Bunnings beat Bunnings own pricing by 10%?

        • Funny thing is they won't on clearance pricing between stores.

These rust easily if left out in the elements right? I feel like I always see them out during hard rubbish collections.

    • Yes. After a few months the rust appears. It has poor quality paint

      • Re-paint before use?

    • What else you expect from $18?

    • If you leave them out permanently in sun and rain, yes.

I purchased my set from Bunnings 5 years ago. It’s been on my balcony the whole time and there is no sign of rust.

      • I bought the amart set from the deal a year ago and have these under cover. They are rusting up nicely. Will have to do a warranty on them before warranty ends.

    • I’ve had mine since 2017 with minimal if not no rust, but I’m in Melbourne Victoria.

Still shows up at $48 for me

  • this is a good deal, I bought this when they did the same about the same time last year, although I think I paid in the low $20's. Gets left out in the weather and still cleans up good as new

    • No rust?!

      • +1

oddly no! i mean its only been a year and id be amazed if it goes a few more without rust but for the price it does the job

  • Still showing full price here in syd

Looks like this is to compete with the amart set (price: $19 was $49):

You didn’t read the full post … did you ?

  • Still showing full price for NSW. Would get a set if the price is $18.90. Upgrading from my $5 camping chairs.

    • You could try calling your local store and getting them to confirm the price. It is $18.90 in every other state and territory. I can't see why they wouldn't honour the price.

  • Is this identical to the amart one? I see it's a different brand but it looks the same to me.

  • i've picked up a set from bunnings and cancelled my amart order. thanks op!

  • Thanks! I just grabbed one from the Canberra Airport store at the $18.90 price

    • Can confirm as of this morning there are heaps left at Canberra Airport store still at $18.90.

  • Thanks op, just went to Bunnings and got the second last one. Cheers.

  • chadstone store says not available on line. Guess one has to go and collect it.

  • Thanks OP,
Bought 2 sets at Stafford, QLD 20 mins ago. Around 20 were still available on the shelf.

I purchased these about a year ago. They survived the sun and they survived the rain but unfortunately they didnt survive our pitbull…

  • showing at full price online for Tasmania too.

  • Although it showed as full price on the website, I popped down to my local Bunnings in Newcastle & it had been marked down so worth checking in store.

  • Just grabbed one from Bunnings Northmead. Still a lot left on display.

    • Same at chirnside park, at least 5 other people got one while I was there :)

  • Heaps left at Bunnings Notting Hill

  • Purchased
I intend to spray a bit of WD40 around the metal as a preventative
But if I get 2-3 years out of them for $19 happy days

  • Showing $48.98 at my local bunny site.

For some reason the online price in has NSW never changed but as you can see in the comments people in NSW are still purchasing it for $18.90

Just called local store and the friendly lady says 10 in stocks $18.90 on their computer. Going to drive there and buy a couple.

        Cheers, bud!

  • Thanks just got 1. About 25 left in stock Port Melbourne

  • +1

    good deal.

Watching the price on these go up on each year is a sodden reminder of inflation. A heinous crime against a symbol of Australian modernity, expressed through a classic statement of outdoor living at its peak. What is the world coming to.

  • $48.98 in-store at Rockdale, NSW (as of 24/12 11:30)

    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/188225/75689/d8eadaf3-…

    • Thanks. Looks like deal is over now.

  • Plenty in stock at Bunnings Belconnen in the ACT but they are at the $48.98 price

  • I grabbed 2 yesterday morning (23/12) mainly for the tables but the extra chairs never go astray. Only bought them because the chairs stack. Great deal for $18.90! The lady at the register said they were supposed to be back at normal price because Amart had no stock. At that stage the slip on the shelf was still $18.90 as was the website.
