Screwdrivers are good, but the case is beyond horrible.

Yep, I looked at this and decided not to buy it for this reason.

But who keeps screw drivers in a case? Don’t they belong scattered around the house and lent to others who forget to bring them back?

I bought this when it was $10. The case is usable. Not great but it's ok in that all the screen drivers and sockets are still in it after more than a year.
I mean there's no such thing as a good case for these types of tool anyways.

    • Yeah, it's a terrible thing. Well done Stanley, excellent way to show your committment to anything approaching quality.

      • I dunno, I think that's a bit harsh. I bought a small 12 or so piece Stanley screwdriver set with a decent case that I use for occasional around-the-house jobs, had it for 10+ years. No issues. But this one isn't great.

  • Bought these at $10 last year! Case is very filmsy, but for me it's all about the tools inside.

    • 50 percent extra cost for a fix. Genius.

  • Even though it's regular price, I'd grab one if you're after it. I went looking for this set recently as a house-warming gift but 2 stores I checked didn't have it and weren't expecting stock (marked as a "promotional item"). I did get one eventually later when I saw it at another store, but yeah I'd say treat it like an Aldi special buy - a regular price but rotating item. At least that's how it looks to me.

Dunno how people are treating or storing theirs to hate the case that much.
