Just the skin (no battery or charger), but if you have the mower, this is a pretty good basic model trimmer in their lineup. I got it recently as a whole kit and find it quite good. Got about an hours use (not constant) from a charge at full speed (on the 2.5Ah battery that came with that deal).

I've had a 2 stroke Ryobi (noisy and became a pain to start), a 4 stroke Honda (noisy and heavy, but reliable). Both a pain to get the fuel for. Then an Ozito corded one which while it worked ok, ergonomically wasn't so great (not the cord, the weight and line feed) (the Ozito corded mower is great). I found this Ego trimmer nearly perfect - just the shaft was a little long for me and the battery could be lower down to tuck under the arm, but minor things. The power and running time seem fine.
Based on???
I got given one of these, pretty surprised on its performance. Ive done my 600sqmm place twice on one charge and it still had charge left, it probably had more in it still. No hearing protection is a plus :)
Batteries are expensive though.
I changed all my garden tools to ego.Excellent so far.
We have this at home and it is great, I also find it slightly too long to hold but perfect for my partner who is taller. This price is great!
What I did is put a few washers in the joint in the middle on each bolt, so the shaft bends down a bit. That made it good for me.
Awesome product and price!!
Got one Thanks OP.So happy.
I have had an EGO line trimmer for just over a year to do all the edges for a 800m2 suburban block. It is excellent. Easy to feed line out and easy to load the cassette. Would never go back to petrol with all the starting and line feed problems. Also purchased the hedge trimmer when on special at Trade Tools and it is also great. Definitely recommend.
I've had an EGO lawn mower since Masters did that big sale including a rapid charger, I think it's bloody brilliant!
Would you know if there's much of a diff between the steel deck and the one that isn't (sorry I dno much). I was gna surprise my husband with one for Xmas but I have no idea if the extra for steel is worth it in case it rusts??
I don't know sorry, they only had 1 model available when I bought it. I can only assume the steel deck mowers are more durable, but I've no issues at all with the regular plastic one.
Ego are very good tools. I have the hedge trimmer, chainsaw, two blowers and a whipper snipper. Great tools.
I've one of this for about 5 years and still works great. All my garden tools are EGO and I love them all.
I was going to get the steel deck lawn mower for my husband but thought to get an Ego line trimmer as well for the battery bundle. Can someone recommend me one in that range or if a multitool is better as I have 0 clue about it.
We have a large patch of grass at the front and a smaller back garden, not much bushes that require hedging as we have mostly plants.
Just keep in mind that if you got the mower kit and this trimmer skin you'd be using the heavier mower battery in the trimmer. I have the 2.5Ah battery in it. I'm not sure how heavy the mower batteries make the trimmer feel like (maybe others can say?).
I don't recommend ego products
Not really worth it.
