Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket $221 Delivered @ SurfStitch

100
VIP33

Very solid down jacket at the cheapest I’ve seen (in black anyway). Perfect for a ski midlayer or a casual outer layer.

Sure you can get cheaper down jackets but they won’t last (gone through two Uniqlo ultralights myself), 800 fill ethical down and 100% recycled shell.

Hooded is actually cheaper at $211: https://www.surfstitch.com/patagonia-down-jacket-black1.html

  • Is Patagonia down Sweater Jacket considered a good one for subzero temperature weather?

    • +1

I have worn mine (with a light fleece underneath) down to around -5 and been warm.

      • Cheers. Yep, that should be more than enough.

  • Only XL n above is available.
How r the sizes compared to macpac.
Macpac (down jacket) Medium size fits me fine.
Assuming XL wud be too big.
    Looking for hooded version.

Never tried a Macpac, but I normally wear a medium and have a medium of these. Fits me well, a little loose to allow layers. Hope that helps.

I would say Patagonia Medium is equivalent to Macpac Medium and Kathmandu Large.

Don't even think about Patagonia XL unless you are XXL usually as they are (relatively) huuuuge.

Great quality jackets though at this price. Needs to be minimum 30-40% off Patagonia RRP to be worth it IMO.
