Happy Friday all, lovely price error to start the day off.
Seems like a good device if you are wanting to have a massive LAN party this Christmas
Unfortunately no free shipping.

The 1810 is only a "smart/web managed" layer 2 switch. It has no CLI and it isn't fully managed. The old Procurve lifetime warranty is transferable in private sales between ends customers but it is extinguished if the seller is a second hand dealer.
ah ok. so while not “fully managed”, what features are missing from the web ui?
Looks like it still has port aggregation and vlans which are possibly the most required features of a managed switch. Either way, more management than the OPs switch :)
No feature is missing from 1810's Web UI. There is no CLI and there is no hidden feature that can be hacked or unlocked.
But the 1810 is limited compared to a normal managed L2 switch such as the 2530 series. I don't have time to list them here, you can compare the specs sheets yourself. One example is the lack of ACLs.

@alvian: Ok then.
Sorry guys- if you need ACLs, this is a bad choice
This is looking promising… order status went from "processing payment" to "payment processed" to "transmitted to warehouse" in the matter of a few minutes
not sure what netgears warranty is like, but if you need 48 ports - you're arguably better off picking up some older network gear from ebay.
for example - "HP PROCURVE 1810-48G J9660A 48 PORT GIGABIT MANAGED SWITCH WITH 4X SFP PORTS" @ $130.90 delivered. "lifetime" warranty on these and fully managed.
just a thought
