Link?
But not exactly the same thing
Does the Seagate drive perform the same as the WD black?
@bostos: No they are different product tier. I wouldn't class any Seagate HDD as good as WD Black.
@ChickenAdobo: Even the exos?
Seagate is far to be better than WD, specially WD Black. No way!
Not bad pricing. 4 dollar more for 3.5" 2 TB WD Black
what's the benefit from the half storage 3.5" and cost more…
haha brainfart. Yes you are correct.
I’d be interested to know if there is actually a WD black 4tb in there for this price.
Portable obviously…. I'm sure it's faster than traditional 2.5 drives.
They recon 140MB/s. I’ve been out of the game for a few years but I remember my 7200rpm 2tb black cost $340ish and topped out at about 60MB/s.
Surely this drive can’t be their traditional black line?! I can’t find 2.5” 4tb blacks from my 30sec google.
Crazy price. If I was currently able I’d jump all over this. 😢
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought read/write was capped out at USB3.0 640mbps = 84MBps
@rainbowunicorn: Interface
USB 3.2 Gen 1
Data Transfer Rate
5.0 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1)
Interface Transfer Rate
5.0 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1)
Internal Data Rate
140 MBps
It should be able to reach 140MBs.
I think you’ve misread the specs for USB3 it should be able to handle 640MBs.
Sorry, what do you mean by this?
i am looking for a 4tb portable hdd .. is this recommended?
If you want an arguably better performing drive yes. If you want value get the Officeworks Seagate mentioned earlier.
4Tb Seagate portable at Officeworks for $138; no deal
