HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset Gun Metal/Red - $90 (Was $139) Pickup/+Delivery @ JB Hi-Fi

140

Just picked these up as I was going to buy the Cloud Stinger, but $40 more is great value. I know they got cheaper but I missed out on black friday sales. Great price, and I believe they are the cheapest price right now.

  • Cloud flight is much better from experience, and wireless. Only $40 more at Amazon right now.

HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Gaming Headset Black Gaming https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B077ZGRY9V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i…

    • After trying most of the range of HyperX, I much preferred the sound of the Cloud ii, and also the lightness of it. I only ever use cabled as I have a PS4 and it's super easy to plug into the controller. Technically speaking the Cloud Flight is also less capable range wise, has less oomph in the lower end due to the smaller speaker size and feels more plasticy in the hands if that matters to you. At $130 I would be looking at a different headset anyway as that opens the price range up a fair bit.

      • The cloud ii is a pain in the arse for ps4 as there's no sound adjustment on the head set. They're more suited to ps4.
Have to disagree, at $130 you may not find a better set of gaming cans for this price. Plenty of very positive reviews on YouTube. Each to their own with headsets anyway

        • I use the volume/mic controls on the PS4 with no issues.

Cloud Mix was $150 on the weekend, far better deal than the Cloud Flight and more versatile. We are getting into sound signature and feature preferences though. I got these as they were $40 more than the Stinger, I'm not going to spend $80 more than what I was willing to spend as that is almost the cost of these headphones alone haha ;-)

Cloud Alpha on sale for $109 as well. I bought one on Cyber Monday and it just arrived today.

So far so good, very impressed with the sound and mic quality. It's not as comfortable as my previous headset (Razer Man-o-War) but still excellent.

Our family owns three pairs of Cloud Alphas. Great for gaming, chat and personal devices. Very modular design with removable parts and replacable cables. They are the ducks guts.

      • Do you mean ducks nuts?

        • I meant they are the cats bananas.

    • Yea they look pretty nice, mostly because of the detachable cable, otherwise they seem to be exactly the same as the Cloud ii but with a different inline remote without 7.1 usb right?

Completely different driver setup to the Cloud IIs. The Alphas have a dual chamber which yields better bass distribution.

Also Cloud IIs are not 7.1 (neither are the Alphas mind).

No the cloud ii includes a virtual 7.1 DAC for PC.
I could only tell a difference in bass when it was really loud, even then couldn't think it was $20 more better. I would prefer the Alpha over the cloud ii if it was $90. When do you stop paying extra to get minute differences!

  • Cloud Alpha or Cloud II?? Hmmmm which one should I get? I mostly play PS4 and sometimes on PC but I prefer much on the sound quality - are they noise cancelling by any chance?

Alpha if you're not on a budget.

  • Looking at getting these to use for psvr. Anyone recommend these or something else in a similar price range?

    • I'm extremely happy with my set. If go alpha for a little extra though.

      • Thanks. I have moved alpha to the top of my list
