Ordered a Dyson through Bing Lee, which was recently marked as shipped. It also has an estimated delivery date of December 17, which does not make sense if it's being shipped in Australia (it should be in this week if thats the case). Can anyone weigh in on why its going to take so long?
Could also be a case of managing expectations.
I'd guess the delivery date says by December 17, in which case the seller is giving themselves wiggle room.
They'll no doubt process the order and ship it out as soon as they're able, but will overstate the delivery date to customers. This way the seller (hopefully) won't have disgruntled buyers contacting them before the promised delivery date chasing up their order, while also accounting for any slowdowns in deliveries (whether AusPost or otherwise) at this time of year.
Mr Lee is personally overseeing the quality assurance of your purchase to ensure it meets the highest standards.
I think Lionel Lee runs it now - I'm sure he's doing everything possible to meet the OP's needs.

It won't take that long. Had the same thing happen from something I bought off them, after it was shipped I received it the next day.

Ordered a battery charger from Sparesbox, got a shipped out email yesterday saying it will be delivered on the 10-11th of December, and it arrived today.
Mine is coming from bing lee on dec 4th-9th but I ordered 8am Friday morning…
Maybe Bing Lee have updated their website a little too early and are providing estimated delivery dates for Christmas (Parcels always take a little longer near christmas).
