EXP Share all has ruined gameplay i feel, but has also encouraged trying out new Pokemon
Try two rotating teams of 6 - evens you out with NPCs
You can turn off EXP share (at least in my experience in previous games)
Not in Sword and shield.
I wish it were that easy. It's not a setting you can turn off, but 'Bills PC' can now be remotely accessed nearly anytime anywhere & hence the two teams of 6
It gets a lot better later. Game was made for kids, so of course it's easy in general. Post game is for the more dedicated players and there's tons of content to enjoy :)
I bought it.. played it.. didn't hate it.
I think part of me just gets annoyed seeing how it will play out, and that's the SWSH v2.0 next year, with the national dex and 'enhancements' (aka bug fixes).
I would probably be ok with a DLC like in other franchises, but not with another $64 purchase..
What post game? Been reading online and it seems like it is just capturing the cover legendary. Not just that, the animation for it was terrible and music drops for no reason. Other post game is the battle tower.
basically just the max raid battles and breeding - which gets old very fast unless you're a competitive player.
@Nametab: I'm about 9hrs in and the graphics in battle are good, the wild is nice at first glance as well as when trying to fill the pokedex, the gyms aren't really challenging but to be honest playing back all the old games they aren't hard either. The morphing bike is fun and the online element of player ghosts is cool? The deadfaced characters at 360p on a 2d render in gameboy are fine, that was like 20 years ago but those graphics at 1080p on a 70inch TV make me cringe (edit: woops wasn't supposed to list a con here). Raids are quite challenging and fun especially for the rarer pokemon but I have a feeling this would disintegrate into AI helpers 100% of the time after 2-3months as people leave nintendo online subscriptions.
That's pretty much all the pros.
Here are the cons, camera angles in some parts of the world are sketchy af, the wild once fully explored is small af, I do believe that it's smaller than the starting plateau in BoTW. The exp share mechanic is something that should have been unlocked much later, the breeding is slightly tedious, the max raid battles get old real quick and most of the times for some reason I can't get anyone to join raids I create even though friends/family report no such issues on their side. The music is choppy moving area to area, graphics in the background are still gameboy level which is a disgusting excuse given what the switch can handle and even with poor graphic textures the game really guzzles the battery leaving me with the feeling that it's highly unoptimised. The story is poorly developed and because exp is so easily available the grind is quicker and because your whole party levels equally you get this situation where you don't actually feel emotionally connected, or even annoyed at certain pokemon for sucking up exp. I don't know dude, lets go was kind of alright, the catching mechanic was stupid to play on the go and was such a money guzzler, frequently you stayed at $0, this one goes back to ye old but lacks so much finesse. Gamefreak have definitely lost their touch and while i pre-ordered both these games at EB, i won't be buying the next one so readily until decent reviews of them are released.
$60 is roughly $20 cheaper than what I paid for and whereas the casual person will still definitely enjoy this game especially for this price I wouldn't recommend it to a true fan of the franchise who's expectation would be that much higher. They really need to take a good long break, learn to work with new graphic engines, learn how to develop fun new mechanics properly and develop characters and storylines over 2-3 years rather than try to milk the market coming back with half arsed attempts annually.
Does this stack with the $5 cashback from Shopback?
It should.
any coupon codes on eBay will void your eligibility for the regular 1% cashback, but you would still be eligible for the $5 bonus.
The deal is expired no ? ..
Yep they've raised the price..
Good price if your a fan
Not sure if I'm done with the formula I got just after third gym and threw in towel just felt like I was pressing one button and my Pokemon where a good 5-6 levels ahead
