As we head towards Christmas and the Secret/Bad Santa period, everyone is looking for cheap gifts. If you have a $30 cap, this looks like a decent deal. Most other sets (albeit inclusive of a shaker) are at least double the price.
The magnetic base seems to add some useful functionality or at the very least helps with displaying it on your liquor cabinet nicely.
