  If you have an extremely tight budget get the Wiltshires' that DON'T have that thin grey collar.
  They are ABSOLUTE garbage. The other ones, perhaps but take my word for it… the ones with the grey collars are made with very poor metal.
  I would add that the more expensive Wiltshire knives are reasonably good and a FAR better investment. Same goes with ScanPan knives.
  And one other tip folks, if a knife has 'made in China' stamped into the metal… avoid, avoid, avoid.

      Go to the link provided and look at the 'Satin Touch Santoku Knife' as an example.
      You'll see a very thin grey colored 'collar' at one end of the black handle…
