Amazon AU Flash Sale - 20% Cashback (5pm - 6pm AEDT) - Capped at $50 @ Shopback

7230

Just saw from my shopback plugin that shopback are having a flash sale from 5pm to 6pm AEDT on Amazon for upto 20%, capped at $50.

Edit: Appears to be all categories

SINGLE TRANSACTION ONLY
Update from shopback rep: Unfortunatly we got beaten to posting the offer and couldn't control the T&Cs on the post. We understand that this isn't your fault and have decided to also honor all user's transactions that came through during the flash sale even if they made multiple transactions.

T&Cs

Flat 20.00% Cashback is capped at $50.00 available for orders made between 5.00pm to 6.00pm AEDT
Items added to cart before clicking through from Shopback are not eligible for Cashback while Cashback is tracked within 4 DAYS from day of purchase
Shopback will adhere to the categorization recommendations from Amazon
Cashback is only payable on order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs) and is valid on orders paid for with gift cards (not orders with Amazon credit)
Pre-orders are eligible for Cashback provided the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.
Make sure your Amazon shopping cart is empty before clicking from ShopBack, otherwise items added prior to clicking will not earn cashback.

  • Mine's tracked $50

    • Same (phew) - thanks Shopback

  • Mine's tracked at 20%, $42

  • +1

Received the cashback confirmation but it is not 20%. I should receive around 44 AUD but the notification mentions 15 AUD.

    • Same here

    • if you had multiple items they will show up separately

      • It was just one item.

    • What is the amount minus GST, packaging and freight charges?

      • Amount without GST is AUD203.63
No packaging and freight charges are mentioned in the invoice. So at 20% cashback should be AUD40

        • If your figures are correct then that is definitely an error.

Send the rep here a friendly pm I'm sure they'll look into it for you.

        • maybe you missed the boat on the timing

  • Mine was tracked. $32.85. I was expecting $36.13 as the listing price was $180.66, excluding GST and shipping.

  • Got my cashback notification across multiple orders also, doesn't quite add up to 20% by my calculations though. Couple of bucks short.
Looks like the 'before GST' amount on my Amazon receipt is what was cashbacked actually, So I guess that's a thing I didn't really think about or consider.
Still. better than Cashrewards, and better than nothing.

I think you're right. This is my order breakdown:

      Subtotal: $164.24
      Postage & packing: $17.30
      Total before GST: $181.54
      GST: $18.15
      Order total: $199.69

So 20% of $164.24 is $32.85. The confusing part is the item was listed on Amazon at $180.66 and shipping $19.03.

It's in the t&c's - 'excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs'

        • How do you know the listing price included packing when you placed the order?

  • Just got my tracking info for 29th(5%) and 30th(20%) purchases and it's correct.

    Thanks Shopback.

  • +1

Yeah as I feared mine has tracked incorrectly, honestly, I’ve never had a smooth ShopBack transaction!

  • How do you marry the shop back to Amazon purchase as the purchase ID doesn’t correspond to the transaction ID? I made a few transactions via SB / Amazon over the weekend and have received multiple emails but I have no idea what is what.

    • +1

agree, hard to match back, should state the order number and item.

  • +1

I just saw the email from shopback, showing that my purchases tracked, but it says "0.00" cashback for both of the items I purchased.

I bought two micro-sd cards in a single order. One was $25, the other $15. Total order value was $38.68 plus GST, so I should be receiving $7.74 back.

I logged into thr Shopback website, and on the "cashback activity" page, for both items, it says "Calculating" where it should have the cashback amount. Re-loading the page shows the same information.

    What's going on?

    • +3

Same. Got an email. Purchase was 215. 0 Cashback

    • +2

      Same, mine says cashback $0.

    • My purchases have arrived, so I checked Shopback again, and now it has the correct values for the cashback.

  • Thanks for the $0 cashback on a $190 order.

    • +1

One of my purchases tracked at $0 but is showing as "calculating" now.

      • +2

Mine just changed from $0 to calculating.

      • +1

Yeah same, mine came in as $0 but now says calculating.

  • +1

Mine tracked as 20% as intended, it was only $8 but made that Dualshock 4 nice and cheap ($31.60).

  • Tracked at full price. $182 PS4 Fortnite bundle. :)

  • Mine tracked as $50 as expected.

  • +1

Not tracked gonna have to submit a ticket

  • Neither this amazon flashsale nor the uniqlo one tracked. Submitted tickets for both, but both got rejected. I did not do anything different compared to previous (did not click on any ads - literally activated it, added items and checked out). Kinda disappointed because I would have otherwise made any purchases and now I have to return them.

  • +1

Still have one item stuck at calculating since Monday. The other 2 purchased in the same transaction have tracked. Odd

    • I'm in the same boat at you. The cheapie item got tracked correctly but the other one just show "Calculating" and "0.00" on notification email. Both on same transaction.

  • Got the $50 showing up in the pending list.

  • Amazon sent my order by Fastway couriers. Sigh.
It’s been on board for delivery for 3 days (only Sydney to Sydney)

Contacted them, no idea where it is.

    Why Fastway, Amazon why?

    • This happened to me when I bought a monitor. It was on board for delivery for 3 days. I don't remember if it was Fastway or Couriers Please.

They finally delivered it on the 3rd day, around 7pm.

  • Hi gotyourback,
I bought a coffee machine with the shopback chrome add on turned on during the Amazon flash time. the cashback was not recorded and the shopback staff has not been really helpful, other than sending me an email showing me a lsit of reasons why it got turned down. would you please help me on this issue?

  • @gotyourback
I've registered a ticket with the staff but they rejected my claim even though I've done everything they said to a T, this isn't the first time it's happened but it is the first time that a significant amount of purchase not registered, even though there was a click history of me clicking onto the amazon website during the sale, is there anything you guys can help?

return and get a refund from Amazon, purchase it next time or boxing day. Just a lesson that shopback sometimes is not reliable. Do not waste your time on submitting claims, I tried it before which is totally useless.

      • I have found them to be great with claims. I'm waiting for some Groupon claims after they had a period of non tracking. That'll be the test for me, given the latest negativity around here.

      • I've never had to submit any claims in my experience with them. Everything has tracked.

    • +2

I bet you haven’t ‘done everything to a t’ if it’s happened more than once. There is something conflicting that is resulting in your purchases not being tracked. Either you unknowingly have adblockers on, clicked through from another site, had stuff already in cart etc.

  • +2

    mine was rejected.

    Got the canned rejection letter.

It's BS. I complied 100% with requirements. No codes used, no cancelation, no ad blocker, no gift card, cart was empty. They even identified that I clicked through via Shopback for the purchase and still said it was not attributed for something done wrong on my end. I have shopped with them enough times to ensure everything is done 100% correctly. IT's not a problem on my end, but they're blaming me for it.

  • It's very odd.

I looked all over on the shopback app for this cashback/transaction and couldn't find it but then I see it on the site through desktop.

    • +1

I get the same discrepancy too, just figured it was a bug.

  • Still pending until Feb 13th
