For anyone with a baby on the way, Toys 'R' Us will give you a $50 gift card when you set up a gift registry with them. It is no cost to set up a gift registry, you just need to fill out a form with your contact details and bubs due date. After selecting your items (we only added 7 to our list) you will receive the card on the same day. The gift card we received must be used by December 31st 2011.

From their website; Available on full price purchases from Babies"R"Us only and excludes purchases on nappies, wipes, baby food, formula, Gift Cards or non merchandise goods and services. Only one $50 bonus card must be surrendered at time of purchase. Not available on prior purchases or online sales. Not available in conjunction with any other offer.

    Nice one! So you don't actually have to buy anything… TRU are hoping gift registr purchases from friends/family will make up for the $50 gift card they give you?

    I was wondering if toys can be added to the registries. U know like normal toys and stuff. How cool it would be to have a list of toys on the registry for guests to your child's birthday party. Last year i had doubles and even triples of so many toys for my child's bday party. A registry would be so good.

    No need to buy anything, you get the gift card simply for setting the registry up (you do have to do this in-store). This is baby #3 for us, so we don't need much baby stuff and will probably use it on a car seat for big brother.

    I would think you could add toys. We had a bar code scanner to use on anything, and mainly added items for our older toddler that we plan on purchasing ourselves over the next few months (kind of a reminder list)

    Pity, we're in the market for a adjustable booster seat which are on sale at the mo so the extra $50 off would have been a goer for us!!!!
