It has a function to brown the meat itself (sauté and sear option).it’s a great product
Out of curiousity and in case you still want to know anyway - I just tested mine and the bowl doesn't register on my induction cooker.
The bowl is probably non-ferrous and is also quite convex as well as thin.
Thanks for that. I realise the appliance itself has this function (thanks previous poster) but wanted to know if using on the cooktop was another option as well.

I called eBay and got $17.76 voucher for price guarantee. There was only 1 left when I started to talk to eBay customer service staff, she put me on hold and meanwhile it was gone but I insisted that she saw it herself and it was available, she agreed and gave me voucher…feeling lucky today :)
Can you use the cooking bowl on an induction cooktop to brown meat before slow cooking, etc?
