  • Is this easy to clean?

    • +1

      3/5 easy

    • Everything but the extractor grate is. Breaks down really easy and makes some delicious pasta.

      • Do you mean the machine easily craps itself? or breaks down easy for cleaning?

Ive been eyeing one of these since a member on here listed this is their most used/fav appliance.

The machine itself is very easy - both the mixing container (which lifts out of the machine) and the screw mechanism (cast iron) are easily washed in the sink with hot water. Then just wipe the rest of the machine down.
The extrusion discs can be a bit of a pain, particularly those with fine holes in them. However, that inconvenience is minor in comparison to the nuisance of trying to clean the manual pasta rolling machine I used for many years.

If you like making your own pasta, this is thoroughly recommended - one of my three favourite kitchen appliances. (Coffee machine and air fryer, to answer the unasked question.)

      • Thanks for the info you provided! Just wondering if you've ever made non pasta noodles? Like Asian kind of noodles? Just wondering if this is good for that

        • I use it mostly to make chinese noodle, you will need to buy this disc:

          • @crazynic: What recipe do you follow and what type of noodles are you making? Given that the fresh noodles (la mein) at the Asian groceries are $4 per packet, this machine could be great value

            • @tokziktigah: The recipe from the Philips booklet, 500g of flour + 190 ml of liquid (combination of water + eggs). I usually make boiled or fried noodles.

Thanks OP, I've been wanting to get this for a while and finally bit the bullet.
