  • How do these compare to mx500
I have no idea about ssds but my 250gb ones need replacing

  • Does anyone know if the Silicon Power 1TB NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 would work on an XPS15 9570?

    • +1

      Yeah. It would.

The 1Tb NVMe is just a white label product out of china produced for a heap of re-sellers. All these drives are much the same drive, apart from some firmware variances so if you spot any of them on sale tomorrow or cyber monday, they are worth a look.

    • Thanks for the heads up.

They're manufactured by different companies but they use a similar reference design so there are variations despite the similarities.

      https://www.anandtech.com/show/13955/the-silicon-power-p34a8…

    • won't they vary by the quantity and quality of dram and slc cache?

      • They do vary slightly according to reviews I've seen, but generally they all hit within a similar ballpark in most tests because they use the same controller and same TLC flash.

Thanks, I got the Pioneer APS-SE20G off Amazon during the 20% Shopback event. $174.99 regular price, should be $140 after cashback. I was about to settle for a Crucial P1 at $140 too, glad I didn't as it wasn't really ideal.

  • Not really a deal here, they've been this pretty much the same price for a while now…

  • Guys I'm looking for a ssd for 4K video editing/rendering.
Can anyone suggest if any of these models are good for this purpose.

Sorry with so many different types of ssd I'm totally lost. Currently I use Samsung 860 Evo.
