I'm not too keen on using this on cars….personally I think it's too harsh - strips polish and wax. I use Meguiar's Wash and Wax.
I do use CT-18 on the alloy wheels though, spray a 50/50 solution with water and let it soak. Really helps clean off brake dust and grime.
I'd also use it on work vans/trucks, or a car I didn't care about, but not my car, no.
It is not as harsh as it used to be, it's now pH neutral and perfectly fine for washing the car.
I used to use it as a foaming pre-wash, foam on, rinse off, and then 2 bucket clean with Autoglym car wash.
is this stuff suitable for washing exterior house paint?
I've used it on a particularly dirty patio before, and no problems that I saw, and that included painted surfaces.
I don't see a problem, just don't let it dry onto any surface. But that goes for pretty much every product out there.
At the price of some fruit juices…
So. is it a general cleaner, or
mostly for car bodies, etc…?
