pricebeat at Officeworks possible?
Hopefully….
hope they will have the same discount for the 42mm, I prefer the all-black design.
Yeah I am after the 42MM as well….
42mm is the right size. 46mm is too big for most people. It's uncomfortable. I tried it
yeah i feel smart watches have a long way to go. They need to get thinner and smaller without hurting battery life if they're going to be as mainstream as phones.
Most of these watches are too big for a lady's wrists. I find them too big for me and I'm a man.
I got a huawei watch about 6 months after it came out and apart from one gap where I didnt wear any watch i used it the whole time and it was pretty much faultless. Still looked good and battery got you through a few days which is all I need anyway.
A few weeks ago I was loading a boat and the sporty plastic strap i bought so I wouldnt ruin the leather one broke and it fell over board. After a bit of diving we got it back, aired it out for a week but its dead. Took it apart and its all rusted.
So if you can pick up one of those second hand snd cheap id recommend it.
But im looking for one too now and haven't kept up with the market at all so these tips are helpful.
Can you use tinder or YouTube on it?
Can you answer phone calls or reply to text messages ?
I think yes you can answer phone calls…not sure about txts….
Thanks Mate
there are a bunch of preset common responses like "Yes" "No" "Maybe" "I'll call you later" "Sure" "OK" "Thanks" that you can tap to send. You can add your own to the list.
But you can't actively type out a response because there's no practical keyboard on a screen that small. It would be a frustrating typing experience.
I'm pretty sure you can tap the microphone icon and speak the text reply - or can type one out manually using a little on screen keyboard. It's not fast, but it's usable for a short reply.
That's on a Samsung watch.
But can you do speech to text and respond that way?
Does anyone recommend buying it on Coles Mastercard today from JB Hifi and then claiming price reduction on Friday? Or should I wait until Friday???
why not just wait a few days?
Wondering if there's any similar spec watch with different color (pink or rose gold?) with small bezel.
This is instore only?
I bought this watch a couple of weeks ago from JB for $524. Any chance I could get them to match the sale price?
Unless you bought it using some sort of 'price match' credit card, you can't….But give it a try….
But cant I do a "refund" and buy it again?
I think they do have 30 day return policy or something…not sure….Sorry
Not all retailers allow you to return an opened/used/worn item weeks after purchase.. without a good reason.
That said, you could just ask if they can credit you the difference… they might.
Also, there is a lesson there… almost everything almost always drops in price. Get some price protection :)
They have a policy. I think it's 30 days. Check the store or website
Tried this instore the interface is awkward and too big for my wrist
Do these deals go live at 12am tonight? Like can I click and collect tonight for tomorrow pick up. Just worried about stock. Thanks.
i wouldn't worry as Harvey and others are price beating
Unless its the non bluetooth version
Its live on the website now! Just got one! Thanks OP!
Thanks OP. Almost bought it from the HN and checked JB. Available to pickup. Great price.
$298 on Amazon plus cashback.
Samsung SM-R800NZSAXSA Smart Watch Galaxy Watch (46mm) Silver (Australian Version) with 2 Year Manufacturer Warranty, Silver https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07JZ88397/
How much is the cashback on Shopback or Cashrewards, does anyone know?
5% through shopback plus 10% cashback if you pay using Zip Pay.
Purchased for 548 on purpose from the good guys 3 days ago and just did a price best - 120% of the difference so snagged a great price
did they honor it easily?
yep no problem at all - they are owned by the same company so i am surprised they haven't reduced it to match TBG. for some reason they refunded as cash aswell instead of store credit but no complaints here
They only do the 30 day price guarantee if you pay for concierge service ?
Used to be on all purchases.
True - terrible change for the customer- concierge cost me $75 and i get $60 in credit each year for 3 years but replacement warranty for defects. Pretty good deal tbh
Ok - $180 store credit over 3 years (any minimum spend?) for $75 plus other benefits seems ok.
Probably like store vouchers they expect many will be forgotten about and never used.
@systmworks: No min spend. Come in $20 increments.
Does anyone know whether this deal will be available to purchase online?
