  • Just ordered one. Cheers.

  • Pick 1 up the other day @ Big W for $40. Got it cause it cheaper than new inks for our Canon. Not great for photos @ 4 picolitre, but eh, don't print many. Good find.

  • +4

+1 for not being a clearance item.

  • How much are the cartridges?

This is a cheap printer, but before you buy, just letting you know that If you run out of color ink, it will not let you print in black only, If you run out of black it will not let you print in any of the colors.

    • Nor will it let you scan.

  • +1

Expect to see these in landfill sites in a few months time I guess. Ink shouldn't cost more than entire printers.

    • it doesn't cost more in reality, the reason why we are charged more is because printer retailers/manufacturers make little profit from the hardware itself and so they rely heavily on ink & paper sales to boost profit margins, somewhat like game consoles, low profits on the hardware(or actually selling at a loss like the xbox for so many years!) and recouping on the games/accessories

    • Also because, the inks that come with new printers are starter inks. So they can be <half filled, compared to the ones you buy off shelp. Hence the difference in price

  • +1

I hate buying new printers but I cannot force myself to dump $70 on ink when the 'special of week' is sitting there for $38 :-(

  • Best move I ever made buying a laser printer. Inkjets are landfill, some get there faster than others.

  • Thinking of buying this just for the scanner function. Has anyone used the scanner on this yet? How difficult is it to scan multi pages and save to one single PDF file?

    • Be aware that if it runs out of any of the inks it won't scan.
