Just got notified of a big price drop on the latest book by the legendary Aussie author, Matthew Reilly. It's a no-brainer at $6 if you have Prime in my opinion.
EDIT: Currently back in stock! Note the 1 - 2 month dispatch time.

That's why I enjoy his books. Reads like a no-brainer action movie.
Ordered!
Can recommend. It's a little different to his normal stuff but still awesome
Does it have less exclamation marks? Or even more?
buy it and find out!
Best Author, I Enjoyed this book, but I found women who read it didn't enjoy as much due to them thinking Matthew rielly had no clue what it was to grow up as a teenage lady which to be fair is probably accurate
Definitely diffrent read than normal, didn't finish it in one sitting which was unusal for me 🤣
6 buck$ for a REAL book! Nice one!
Thanks! Don't forget cash back!
I don't read books, bought ten anyway. Thanks OP!
I can't read. I'm not sure how many I bought. I don't even know what I just wrote.
Did it show "Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months" to you guys cause that's a really long wait time…
Yeah, delivery time kills it.
Edit: For me atleast!
@4agte, you can learn to read in that time 🤣
I remember when I used to like Matthew Reilly, I've read nearly all his books, even met him once- but I can't explain how sick I am of Indiana Jones wannabe novels.. I've got this sitting on my shelf, received it as a gift and couldn't stand the drivel.
Have you read this one? I’m only a third of the way through but it’s not Indiana Jones like his Jack West series. The main protagonist is a 17 year old girl and it’s set in modern day New York but some low level sci-fi elements.
Yeah I tried, I don't even think I made it halfway through.. tbh I may have just outgrown his writing, I don't really know.
Same here. I loved Ice Station, Area 7, Scarecrow but since then his books have been average. I usually read them to completion but didn't enjoy them too much. But Runners I couldn't complete.
@Evelyn208: Highfive! Yeah, I started reading him when he found a publisher after releasing Ice Station, loved things like Contest, Hovercar Racer, the Scarecrow novels, but he's completely lost the plot with the Jack West stuff that seems to never end - I'm almost ready to put him in the same bucket as Clive Cussler at how often he's spitting them out. I will admit, the Great Zoo of China was fantastic though.
Torn. I want it because, six damn dollars! Come on! But on the other hand, every Matthew Reilly book I've read was pretty much trash.
Maybe I could buy it and give it so someone as a present?
Still $6 + shipping too expensive for this brain-dead garbage.
So…Is this about how Scarecrow wins an ultra marathon in NY after getting shot 100 times?
That's the last one, in this ine he used the crystal scarab of the sun god Ra, found in the moon, to foil a resurgence of neo-nazis in the mountains of south America, who were secretly funded by a Chinese gazillionaire.
Don't forget Jack West assisted.
Somebody gave me one of his books as a Christmas present a few years back - The Great Zoo of China. It was basically Jurassic Park with dragons. Possibly the worst-written book I've ever read. Certainly the worst one I've ever actually persevered with all the way through rather than throw away, but it was a gift so I felt obliged to read it in case the person who gave it to me ever asked about it. I swore never again would I touch one of his books, and I have remained true to that vow ever since.
That's a shame. Zoo is definitely not his best work but I still enjoyed it. I'd give one of the earlier scarecrow novels another go before you discard him entirely!
His books read like a typical Hollywood blockbuster. Super easy to follow, so definitely not sophisticated by any means. Still, they're dumb fun some times.
It's sold out, was about to check out and it changed back to $22
Check back if you’re ok with the wait.
First book of Matthew Reilly I have read. Honestly can say that it felt like calling it a young adult novel would be pushing it. Was an easy read but I felt like it was aimed at teenagers
I think that’s his target demographic tbh.
Dammit, I was looking forward to reading my almost free real book! I might give it to my nephew if that's the case…
Nice find. Definite no-brainer.
