I thought yearly passes used to be $100 or so ?

Has been 3 or so years since I last had one..

I remember having it 2 years back for $99!!

      • Yeah…I remember the $99 ones…sucks that they have gone up. BUT…I can't find anything cheaper than $149. It also says the price will increase after Dec 1

Ever since Dreamworld starting having problems, the MovieWorld/SeaWorld pass jumped up from $100 to $140.

      • Having problems.. you mean since their ride ate some people?

Makes me a little nervous thinking how many times I rode that Thunder Rapids ride.

Its a shame it took a tragedy like that to force a comprehensive safety review (at all the theme parks).
Maybe the cost of those extra safety measures is partly why tickets cost more now.

    • The last ones I bought were ~$74 each

Standard yearly price for locals. No deal here

  • Only for QLD residents and Northern NSW (post codes 2450-2490)

This is just racist against Southern New South Welshmen & Welshwomen.

And Middle New South Welshman & Welshsheilas

    • Not a race tho

  • this is still a good deal if you plan ahead (maybe not all parks). use the code from their website for extra discounts as well.

    • Thanks for posting…That 2nd link looks like it is only for 1 day passes?

      • yeah only a one day pass…. (which may suit those only looking to go one time, and from interstate).

        • Too right…we are 10 hrs away and will probably only use the pass for 1 holiday (but we will try to go to all the parks and may double up on a few)

  • +1

Yeah, not really a deal this has been the price since this time last year.

  • Don't they sell cheaper passes after December as it's only for half a year since they expire in June?

Or are the passes valid for the 12 months from when they're purchased now?

    • They used to do this (sell passes cheap in Dec that expire in June). With this deal, the 12 months starts from when you enter the 1st park. I will probably buy this week and not actually get to the parks until late Dec (which is when the 12 months starts)

  • 12 months unlimited entry for $0.41 per day

haha, I'm yet to meet anyone who goes daily (except staff) but maybe someone on OzBargain does.

I'm just back from Gold Coast, unfortunately I live not in QLD or Northern NSW, so those passes would cost me $215. The passes for my family of 5 would cost $1075 - quite hard pill to swallow.
I spent some time researching, and eventually found this:
    https://smallideas.com.au/directory/theme-parks/
They want $35 for their membership, but the passes(including less than One Pass, but still giving you 12 months entry to the 4 parks) costs $129 (or $136 per capita including the membership, in my case).

    • Cheers bud…will add to the post

      • +1

Might be worth editing the post to note the RACQ deal is not the One Pass, does not include in park discounts or White Christmas/Carnivale.

  • Man, the ride to theme parks is the worst.

Anyone remember catching public transport to wonderland?

I should buy this for my cousin and former psychologist that live in coomera.

Although they might get sick of it, like how I did when my mate lived in the resort above sea world back in the day.

  • not as good as the original $99 deals
