More facebook bullshit. Why not be liked here on ozbargain instead??

    • +2

Agree!! Sick of this blood FB "like" buying by companies!!!

      • +4

Isn't it obvious? The more people who 'like' any company of facebook means that more people will see advertising by that company. Yes you get a good deal, but the company wants something out of it too. Luckily Netplus is awesome

        • +1

Yes wouldn't be a problem except for the obvious fact that one has to sign up to facebook to be able to "like" the company. Just not worth it.

        • +1

Well that depends really. I'm already a facebook user so it's no skin off my nose. I understand people would be frustrated if they don't use facebook but hey, just create a fake profile, it's easy.

        • You can always get a refund for the FB Like… if you like.

        • ATD, with the amount of companies that want you to like them on facebook, I'd think it's worthwhile to create a fake account. Once you have an account, takes less than 30 seconds to "like" a company.

    • +2

Well facebook obviously has a wider audience, and this is obviously a marketing tool. If you're going to advertise, may as well try and capture the largest audience.

Not everyone is on facebook, but conversely not everyone is on ozbargain either.

awwww what those of us in the NSW Labor Right (the Facebookless men)?

    • +3

If you're part of Labor it's actually $28 (just an estimate, based on recent Labor contract pricing trends)

      • Im afraid that estimate real cost has increased to $526 by the time all the bribes have been paid

  • got this from the last round. Very decent read and write speed for the price so i highly recommend it

  • Rep, you like the pathetic little kids at school who need to pay other kids to 'like' them.

Please, no more of the facebook.

    • +2

      well put

    • +2

      What's with the rep hate?

    • +2

      It's called marketing.

  • Thank . got one

  • Can't get one? comes up as $24.83

    • nevermind, worked it out

    • .

  • +1

Me too, Note its slightly more than $5 as there is a surcharge on bothe Credit Cards and Paypal, mine came too $5.12 :D

    • what about the insurance? =p

  • Got one as well

  • +7

Got one. I don't mind the Facebook 'Like' thing, I understand it's just marketing tactic, but also benefits consumers.

  • +1

I got one this time. Yay!

  • thnx.. pretty good deal

  • If you get "Service Unavilable" on our site, please keep trying. It just means the server is having trouble coping. Thanks!

    • hi put in the wrong username i think, so sent a email with correct name.
      Order Ref No: 11072711LZ1

  • What happens with their ordering system? I have tried two browsers, firefox and IE. I can log in and place the item in the cart. But whenever I click the "Proceed to check out", the website will log me out and the cart become empty. If I log in again, I can see the item is still there. But just can't got to "Proceed to check out". I called them and got the reply says keep trying since this is online order, they can't take my order on the phone.

  • Anyone else getting $11 ? Edit:disregard lol

  • Only a couple minutes of stocks left guys!

    • I ordered one and still shows delivery? wal adare

      • Yeah, that's what happened to me too. They deducted $6 off the USB stick to make it $5 but delivery remained.

        • Selected Direct Deposit so it can be sorted before paying for it, I have the order confirmation, will see what happens now.

  • OK, let me get this straight… we put in the order and provide our Facebook name and put in the promo code. The receipt we get in our email will still have the cost of delivery on it but you guys will take this out when you check that we've 'liked' your facebook page? i.e. all up it will be $5 incl delivery.

    • last time it was 5 bux once you put in the code. pay, thats it

      • Hmmm, I think I better email netplus to work out what's going on. $24.81 (on the email confirmation) is extremely expensive for an 8Gb USB stick.

        • i got stuck at this step, gave up after 10 minutes if fiddling around..
about 2 minutes later the deal ended, not sure what happens to the item in the cart, but definitly removed the "like" from facebook.

        • Did you put the code in? This was my email.

           Product Total
            8Gb 8192Mb Transcend 11.00
           *Promo: I Like NetPlus -6.00
           *Delivery insurance (5%) 0.25
           *Promo: Free Delivery 0.00
           *PayPal surcharge 2.4% 0.13

                   Total Price: $5.38

        • I got to the stage where I had to tick "I agree to the NetPlus Terms and Conditions and confirm that all the above order details are correct."
but was unable to get shipping removed, nor the price dropped from $11, the facebook promo code was capitalizes, but it didn't seem to be recognised.

this was after: "like on facebook, add to cart, proceed to checkout - failed - need to be registered, sign up for website, proceed to checkout - failed - need address, put in address, tick delivery address same as billing, add billing address, proceed to checkout - failed - need address needed to tick "delivery address same as billing" after putting in billing address, proceed to checkout, put in promo code, try to get it to $5 - failed.
add in a couple of server errors, and checking back to this site to work out what is needed, it all ended up as a waste of time.

my advice for the rep is to make this much easier in the future, I noticed a post on the wall with a user losing 1 hour on this, I lost 15 minutes before I gave up.

        • After I put the code in, my email almost looked like what ozhunter posted… except the insurance and surcharge was a bit higher and there was a delivery fee. Netplus has corrected this for me anyways so it's looking good. That USB stick can't come sooner!

  • Site down?

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

    Unspecified error

    /products-detail.asp, line 19

  • Yay, I got it. It took a while for the confirmation page to show up. Can't wait to fill it up with secret adult materials

  • +6

All sold out! Thanks OZ Bargainers for your fantastic support again!

    • +1

Could you inform those of us which placed orders and have delivery still on them, how to complete the purchase. Cheers

      • I'd definitely like this too.

        • Rep isn't online.. why don't you just call them an post back here ?

        • Yeah, I emailed them as well. Got this reply:

Please be informed that we have taken note of the delivery fees and have amended your order accordingly. The total amount that will be charged is $5.37.

Good price for a USB drive… considering my 4Gb one had only 496kb this morning, this deal could not be more timely.

    • is it possible that i paid for it and got charged but was sold out ?

  • scored one today, thanks netplus

  • That was quick., only just ordered mine half a min ago.

  • -1

On the order and CC payment page, it showed $5.37 with CC and insurance, but on my orders email, it shows I've been charged $11.82?

I tried paying with Paypal, but that was coming up as $11.83 so I ended up paying with CC?

    Not impressed so far.

    • My order email and my paypal showed as $5.12 but I got in pretty early, I've already recieved my ready for delivery email

    • How about before negging a deal that you've taken advantage of, you actually email the company and ask them what's happening?

    • Well the rep commented saying it was sold out, that's why the code probably didnt work.

      • I've received an email saying that netplus will honour my sale and only charge me the listed $5.37.

I think the problem was the promo/stock management system wasn't real time. The code still worked for me before I paid and I confirmed the price differences between paying by paypal and CC. If you read the comments above or check the deal on facebook, it appears that I wasn't the only person having issues with the netplus website/deal.

Justification for my negging wasn't based on the deal but the dodgy way in which netplus site showed that I was being charge $5.37, me agreeing to proceed, only to receive an order email stating I was charged $11.82. I think most people would agree with me that this sort of charging/practice is totally unacceptable. I've now revoked my neg vote.

  • how long before i get mine in sydney ?

  • getting minute by minute updates on my order…

  • @ Rep

Great Deal… but a lot of people (me) don't have and don't want a Facebook account.
    Any chance of a non-Facebook version ?

    • +1
