3 Months game pass ultimate for $1
Only works if you have normal PC game pass, not ultimate apparently. Or if you're a new subscriber.

I signed up for the 1 month for $1 offer for the PC gamepass about two weeks ago.
This offer upgraded me to Ultimate Game pass (whatever the difference is).
Note that it extended me for a total of 3 months from my original subscription date, not an additional 3 months. Still, happy with the extra 2 months for $1. Plenty of time to finish The Outer Worlds.
Weird…I have done exactly the same thing as you, but it added this to my total time. So I still have 10 days of my original month, then the 3 months are added on.
Yup it added onto my total time, I had 1ish months left, now have until end of march.
Yeah I thought it had just done 3 months from the start but then I looked and it was using the silly american date system!
If you are after only the PC portion of the Xbox Game Pass aka Xbox Game Pass For PC then set a reminder to unsubscribe in 3 months time before the next billing cycle as they charge $15/month for the Ultimate Game Pass whereas the Xbox Game Pass For PC is only $4.95/month for now while in beta (subject to change when it exits beta maybe).
So you save $10/month when the 3 months are up if you want to continue just for the PC applicable part.
I don't own an xbox so the pc game pass appeals to me mostly but I tried it for a week and can live without it for now too busy these days anyways to play anything just collecting my library for retirement age.
You can cancel the recurring billing straight away and keep access until the end date (I did this as I didn't want to forget!)
Oh nice til I thought you could only cancel which would terminate your subscription quickly like by the next billing cycle didn't know you could just turn off autorenewal and that was it
you dont need to do any reminders, just go into your account and turn off auto-renewal immediately. It's very easy now, not like 2008 when to turn off auto-renew with Xbox you had to phone america and tell some dickwad about it, god that was annoying, lol.

I just joined, it is available to install when you join the 3 months ultimate. Other noted games: Gears 5, Dead by Daylight, Dishonored 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, marvel vs capcom ultimate..
The library is not as extensive as the other launchers but for $1, I think it's worth it..

@Krondorf: yup pc, i found installing the xbox beta app is the best way, it is like a launcher. Not a fan of the MS store app
Only thing I have noticed after cancelling the recurring billing is that there is no way to restart the PC game pass. I am therefore assuming you have to sign up for that anew at the end of the ultimate time.
If you use shopback, does it mean you get $1.60 back and thus you make 60 cents?

same here, already used the previous offer and shows at 15.95
So I cancelled my current sub, got my last dollar back, re-subbed for another month for another dollar, then tried to yoink this Ultimate deal again, but still no joy. I am slightly ashamed at the lengths I'll apparently go to to avoid paying more than a dollar for Game Pass!
Create a new account would be easier. Use that account to download new games. Other accounts on the PC/XBox should be able to play GamePass games.
@netsurfer: Had considered that, wasn't sure how it'd work, specifically, whether I'd need another Microsoft account… seemed like a massive hassle but you're right, worth a shot!

If you're only on PC (not xbox), can't you just keep starting a new email address and abusing cheap game pass?

Have only played the outer worlds, and so i copied the Save files from the save location and it worked.
Now i won't have to worry about finishing the game too quickly :)
My 2 months for $2 ultimate subscription ran out a few days ago and tonight I was able to renew with regular game pass through this link https://www.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-game-pass/pc-games for just $1 for the first month, 4.95 a month after that. OPs deal showed as 15.95 for me so anyone else who is in the same boat and has an expired ultimate sub, regular game pass is only $1 at the moment.
On the link, it says I can get one month of Ultimate for $1, and 3 months for $1. What are the odds these would stack? Or is it a case of if I take the 3 month offer the 1 month offer becomes unavailable and vice versa.

Very off topic but has any PC gamers with Logitech mice found a way to bind custom setups to Xbox games without using the "set as default" workaround?

Thanks OP. About 2 weeks ago subscribed for the $1/month deal for PC Outerworlds action (just chose the standard sub, not ultimate) and now was able to upgrade to ultimate pass $1 for 3 months.
$2 for 4 months access to Xbox PC pass games, excellent. More time to catch up on the backlog!
Does it still work to stock up on Xbox Live Gold first then get the time converted to ultimate when you sign up?

I can't speak for the others, buy in my case, it stacked.

Ideally, you'd want to open before Christmas anyway as there will be system plus game updates.

I mean you can use your PS4 but I don't think it would natively work with Horizon. You might need extra software to get it to work?
You'll need to install DS4Windows and "Hide DS4 Controller" in the settings. Try googling for instructions.

Just a tip if you're already an Ultimate subscriber and it's showing as the full price for renewal. Wait until your subscription actually expires and then the price should update to show as $1 for 3 months. This is how I got it.

So if I have gold for another couple years, what exactly gets converted? Just 3 months? Then if I cancel what happens to the rest of my paid live time?

Says below: "Xbox Live Gold membership requires an Xbox Live Gold Account.Sign up here." But then when I try to sign up to Gold it won't even let me do that.
