Only advantage is that it makes your pixel into google home but that said for that functionality it is damn expensive.
Any phone is a Google home though.
Might as well get one if you own a Pixel phone cuz the battery life on these phones (at least on a Pixel 3 in my experience) are pathetic!

my pixel 2xl and 3xl is doing pretty well as well.
I had the Pixel 3, and over time the battery life got to the point of being absolutely abysmal.
Just recently got the Pixel 4 XL and it was night and day in comparison. So much better.
While I quite like the size of the non-XL Pixel's, there was no way I was going to go for the Pixel 4 with its similar battery size but the addition of a 90Hz screen.
I was with Pixel 2XL now moved to Pixel 4XL for heavy user like myself 2XLs battery life was abysmal but I get a decent battery life with Pixel 4XL
Wow your pixel 3 lasted a year? Ouch.
i recently returned my 3XL and got a note 9, the battery on the 3XL was terrible
My partner now owns my Pixel 2XL and she spends plenty of screen hours on it and the battery life is still excellent.
I own and am about to sell my Pixel 3XL and I've never had any complaints about the battery life.
I just bought the Pixel 4XL from eBay mobilciti on 11.11 to get the 11% off plus 12% shopback and it arrived yesterday.
I'm concerned about the battery life due to all the bad reviews about the Pixel battery life, but still it's almost 10% larger than last years Pixel 3XL so I'm hoping that it will get me through the day O.K!!
So getting back to being on subject I did own the Google Pixel Stand and I discovered that I never used the features so I sold it.
I still have a standard cheapy eBay wireless charger that charges just as well and I can still use OK Google so I'm happy with this!!

Thanks, I suspect that I'll buy one with my Google Store Credit from the 4XL deal along with one of the fabric covers and sell the stand as soon as it arrives.
I suspect these should continue to get cheaper (clearing out stock) as time passes because the Pixel 4 models don't have that ridiculous Google-proprietary fast charging requirement on the Pixel 3 series (I'm slagging it as a pixel 3 owner).
Given how idiotic that decision was, I'm not willing to spend more than a dollar on this "fast" charger that only provides 5W for all other phones (the Pixel 4 included…)
