Is it a matter of time before cash back becomes ineligible if paid for by wish cards?

    • Is it a matter of time before cash back becomes ineligible if paid for by wish cards?

Shouldn't.. bonus 5-6% off by wish, why not :)

I find Dan’s don’t always follow through with their cash back? I get a notification saying it’s tracked and you check your statement later and it’s been denied, paid cash or card (not wish cards) and no other issues

    • +1

Did you log an issue with cashrewards?
Used it once and haven't had that issue myself.

      • I didn’t in this instance as it happened multiple times and it’s Dan’s and not cashrewards terms denying the redemption after the fact. Perhaps worth looking into but haven’t had similar issues with any other brands I’ve purchased via on CR

    • +1

I've never had an issue with Dans Rejecting a cashback (unlike Agoda lol) - and I reckon they'd be one of my top stores I get cashback at.

Please keep all the alcohol deals coming, it really is great for a drunken bum like me ty

Credit where credit is due - TA (store rep for CashRewards) is a top bloke (or lady?)! Posting this separate to my comments from a previous post where my comments were not favourable towards CR. My faith in CR, although still sketchy, has been restored.

Cashrewards didn't honour a cashback from Dan's when I made a purchase that entitled me to ~$70 in cashback, for no reason. It's still sitting in pending from last August. The "investigation" has gone nowhere. Use shopback rather than these shonky operators.

    • +4

Hi mrporcelain. Trust me, we’re not shonky operators. I can only assume the transaction above was a Cashback claim that Dan’s declined? Not sure how many times I say the same thing across these threads, but Cashback sites do not decline transactions. Only the stores can and do. I want to investigate this for you as I have strong contacts at Dan’s. I’ve shot you a PM requesting further details. Thank you.

Dealing with CR's helpdesk team has been frustrating and pointless hence why I'm sharing my experience in a public forum.

I'm dealing with Cashrewards when I do a transaction using your platform, not dealing with Dan's. CR is dealing with Dan's as far as I'm concerned. If Dan's deny a legitimate claim that's tracked, and I've followed the rules, haven't made a refund/exchange etc… that's your problem to solve, not your customer's.

        • +3

Ok, and thanks for the PM. I can see you made a successful transaction in August. Dan Murphy’s declined the Cashback and you reached out to us asking why. We’ve since contacted Dan’s on your behalf and they’ve not yet come back with a response.

Our helpdesk is simply following process. We’re unfortunately at the mercy of the stores, and we want to be paid just as much as you do. Also, please note this issue would be the same if you had purchased via SB. A decline is the same irrespective of publisher.

I have no idea if you cancelled or exchanged some part of your order prompting the decline, but I can promise you I’ll reach out to Dan Murphy’s directly on Monday and have this sorted for you. At no stage did I say this was for the customer to resolve.

I will be in touch. Have a great evening.

@tightarse: If I haven't made an exchange or refund the reasons for Dan's denying the claim are beyond my control, why should I be out of pocket when using your platform? The cashback claim between CR and Dan's is completely out of my control yet I'm the one affected.

Your helpdesk repeatedly told me that it would be 60 - 90 days to investigate a claim from August (Purchased in May 2019) and offered no further assistance. I'm grateful for the assistance but it's only because I'm now publicly talking about it.

            • +5

@mrporcelain: Unsure if this means there was a partial refund or exchange? As I said, they followed process. 60-90 days for a claim is normal for stores like Dan’s. Not sure what more I can add to appease your concerns, but your comment about us taking action because of a public comment is far from the truth. Please leave this with me.

            • @mrporcelain:

The cashback claim between CR and Dan's is completely out of my control yet I'm the one affected.

CR is affected by their customer satisfaction as well.. customers becoming unhappy like you are not what CR would want in the long run. A business wants their customers to be happy and to do that they want to build long term trust.

I'm grateful for the assistance but it's only because I'm now publicly talking about it.

Try pinging TA directly for assistance next time if you have issues with the helpdesk

Publicly speaking or not, it's great you raised the concern up. If your transaction has gone wrong due to some process gone walkabout in between, then you may have just helped CR identify a kink in the hose that needs to be straightened out

              @hellohello123

but when they acknowledge the transaction, and then they say "you didnt get cashback because you may have cancelled/refunded the order" thats when it annoys me, unless you actually did refund/cancel, or they have records that you did, then you can see why a customer gets annoyed

My Sony pre-order was originally denied but was made right. As customers, we need to give CR as much honest information as possible that may serve helpful to investigating what could have gone wrong.

            • @mrporcelain: You're coming across as a bit of an ass. You have someone attempting to help you and you're being rude about it.

              • +1

@bmerigan: This has been ongoing since August and only now I'm getting useful help, I wonder why that could be.
If the situation is resolved I'm not overly concerned about how I'm perceived to be perfectly honest.

                • +1

@mrporcelain: Hi again mrporcelain. I've unfortunately received an OOO response from my contact at Dan Murphy's. Rather than make you wait two weeks, I've approved the transaction into your account. I will obviously continue to pursue the funds and the reason for the decline. If you did cancel/refund any part of your order, then we lose as they will not pay us. So I truly hope this is not the case. Thank you.

                  • @tightarse: Thank you. I appreciate that. I can confirm that there was definitely no refunds or exchanges and most of the order is still sitting in my cellar. I wouldn't have refunded or exchanged any of it because of the amount of cashback that would be forfeited.

Dealing with CR's helpdesk team has been frustrating and pointless hence why I'm sharing my experience in a public forum.

And yet a CR rep is here willing to help you out, all is well for sharing an experience in a public forum, that's what public means :)

          Free speech!

          If Dan's deny a legitimate claim that's track, and I've followed the rules, haven't made a refund/exchange etc… that's your problem.

No process is perfect. Think of it like this, if Dan's system is causing CR's customers headaches, CR would love to know about it so they have the opportunity to fix it for you.

I've had things go wrong with CR as well, (pre-order'd lens with Sony), and notified CR, they reviewed the process and made it right.

I'm dealing with Cashrewards when I do a transaction using your platform, not dealing with Dan's

CR doesn't have a liquor license.. you are buying from Dan's via a click-thru link in CR. You are dealing with Dan's for the liquor. The cashback is done through CR.

          • +1

@cwongtech: If dans said, we cant find the transaction, thats fair enough, a quick invoice number/order number would solve it

but when they acknowledge the transaction, and then they say "you didnt get cashback because you may have cancelled/refunded the order" thats when it annoys me, unless you actually did refund/cancel, or they have records that you did, then you can see why a customer gets annoyed

Don't tell anyone, but 'Cleanskin Dry White' is a good drop. And if you find it a tad too sweet then drop an ice cube into it.
After cashback & GC ~ $3.26 per bottle by the 6 pack! Yee Haaa!

    • Try Super Saver Six instead - cheaper / better.
