If you use the smaller (non steak knives) the best way to carry them is to put a length of 13mm black plastic irrigation pipe over it.

It's a perfect fit - doesn't slip off accidentally - and allows you to rummage around in your pack without slicing your hand open.

I used cardboard from a cereal box to make a sleeve, wrapped duct tape around it and that worked great for me walking 800km on the Camino in France and Spain. I had it in a front zipper section on my pack. Never cut myself. Still use it camping now. Accidentally took it thorough security at the Eiffel Tower and that was okay, but I had a plastic camping dinner plate in my pack and the security dude checked with his supervisor 3 times about the plate. He even looked at the knife in the sleeve (handle was bright orange and visible) but he did not worry about that.

Could ya buy these on eBay on eBays price match guarantee?

    • +1

Talked to online chat, they are not considered an online approved retailer on Ebay's "price match" list.

Can you please do more good chef knife deals if you can?

    • Hi Yaren24

No worries, I shall work on this. :)

      • I bought the Shun knife from you guys last year, just wanting to see what else you can do this year. Thank you

        • Is there a particular type of Shun knife you are after? I can try to work something out. :)

          • @MegaBot: I prob prefer to try some other Japanese brands if you import some. But I watched a few youtube clips, I think I am interested to try Zwilling Kramer, but I don't think they stock any of these knives in Australia. Thanks

            • @Yaren24: Hi

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Been a hectic week. :)

Other Japanese brands that comes to mind would probably be:

              Global Knives
              Kasumi
              Miyabi

Then there is also Wusthof that makes some pretty amazing German style knives - Wusthof

Let us know which one you like and we will see if we can work something out. :)

              • @MegaBot: all good, I will have a look, I think if you can import some knives where they are like thicker in blades unlike thin Japanese Blades, and is able to do all sorts of cutting.

I purchased the 3 piece paring knife set from Amazon recently to replace a set that I've been using for years.

Highly recommend them for general purpose kitchen duties.

    $18.48 from Amazon atm: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B001DFRW5W/ref=ppx_yo_d…

  • Received the knives and very satisfied with the product & services!
