Head down to Chemist Warehouse to have them price match it and give you 10% off the difference (Currently $14.99 at chemist warehouse, so $8.40- 0.66) which comes to $7.74!

      • My local Chemist Warehouse says they won't price match Coles/Woolies.

        • But this is Amazon.

Uhh I did it today… its part of their policy, they have to match a Australian Retail Store so they are lying to you? Makes no sense from them not to match it, Amazon sure its an online store.

Below is the link, to their lowest price guaranteed.

          • @chinbhat: Depends on how well they know their policy, as per below they will refuse Amazon as it's an online only store. They might refuse Woolworths as it is on a promotion.

            Exclusions:
Our price matching policy excludes international orders and offers that are exclusively online. This policy cannot be applied to products at the other company if they are:
            • - out of stock
            • - short dated
            • - on clearance or discontinued
            • - A part of a promotional offer e.g. buy one get one free

@em: yeaaaa i wouldn't think this is called a promotional offer, its just a sale no offers?

            • @em: yeap. One time i bought some skin care at Chemist Warehouse, then i went to a nearby Coles and i found out the prices in Coles are cheaper by a dollar or 2. I know is not much, but i went back to Chemist to ask if they can refund me the difference.

But in the end, they told me they won't match sales price…..

they did say they can refund me but oh well, cbf going back to coles again for a dollar saving.

  • For adults, the recommended daily amount for vitamin C is 65 to 90 milligrams (mg) a day, and the upper limit is 2,000 mg a day.
Is this supplement of 500mg necessary?

    • Not at all. It just makes for expensive pee.
There is also evidence that vitamin c tablets increase the risk of kidney stones.
Just eat some fruit or have a glass of orange juice.

It's not clear that artificial vitamin c taken on isolation has the same benefits as natural vitamin C consumed in fruit and vegetables.

More certain is that Vitamin C has minimal effect on cold and flu¹:

    Reference 1
"After reviewing 60 years of clinical research, they found that when taken after a cold starts, vitamin C supplements do not make a cold shorter or less severe. When taken daily, vitamin C very slightly shortened cold duration — by 8% in adults and by 14% in children."
