My Googling suggests it is a pretty poor TV, but the price is low so you get what you pay for.
I think I'm going to hold out for more good deals on the TCLs.

Things may have changed since last year, so I can't speak specifically about this model, but keep in mind Blaupunkt is now only a "rebranding company". It's simply stamps "Blaupunkt" onto the front of cheap Chinese panels, not even the firmware/GUI has any reference to "Blaupunkt".
Oh thats a shame.
That said, it has hdr and 'apps' so we can probably sideload some decent fun times into it.
Ha! the garden tools I have bought online with a great German sounding name have turned out to be horrible cheap made in China junk that didn't last the warranty which was also useless. I'm moving to 20metres from salt water and i'm advised to get a cheap TV
All the good names of old are now nothing but a plastic label. Akai, Blaupunkt, Polaroid….. So misleading.
I had a look at this in-store. They were showing Toy Story bluray 1080p upscaled isn't too bad. Boot up wasn't slow. Menus weren't laggy. Tempted!
The guy at JB said they have had a lot of returns so getting rid of them. Stay away.Only 50 Mega Hertz.
Another JB guy said it was seasonal stock and that they won't be getting anymore once these are gone. His store ordered 15 and sold 9 by midday. He also said that they don't sell Soniq anymore and that nobody else did either because they went broke.

Well let's face it, quality was terrible. I remember going to JB, seeing all the pretty looking brand name screens then seeing the blurry Soniq ones, an unbearable gap in picture quality.
Interested to hear thoughts on this one, I'm chasing a cheap replacement for an outdoor TV that died on the weekend.
