For the connoisseur home baristas out there; the DeLonghi DECC500 Vacuum Coffee Canister is a great way to keep your fresh roasted specialty coffee beans that little bit fresher for longer.
- It takes 4x AA batteries (works with rechargeables).
- It seals on close and automatically every 12, 24 or 48 hours (configurable by a switch on the bottom).
- The internal canister holds a little over 500gm.

  This sounds a great idea but reading reviews it would appear very much pot luck to get one that works long term (made of plastic, cannot maintain seal are common complaints - does work for some apparently but others have gone through multiple returns but still unhappy)so after initially thinking bah missed it, now not so sorry.

  I use my Moccona Glass containers, the large ones for the whole beans and the small ones for the ground coffee. They keep the coffee very well.
