  Yeah first gen models are always a bad idea. Can't see 8k being justifiable for a long time.

  Depends if you are in a dark room or not. OLED are reflective beast. The QLED are way brighter and don't show that much reflection, even with a light source behind

    My 4k 75 TV defaults to 300% scaling on my HTPC. 250% is nice at a few metres, 100% at 8k would be hilarious.

  Yes mostly. Though if you're a habitual background TV viewer in a bright room - this TV will fair better.
