They are the worst bank I've ever used. I had a credit card and couldn't sign up to a direct debit no matter how hard I tried so I constantly got calls from their collections team. Even they could put me on an automated payment.

Then they blocked my card for buying 10 uber vouchers in Woolworths, which was annoying but not the end of the world. However when I called them to unblock the card they accidentally cancelled my account, which actually completely erases you from the system so if I wanted my card back I would need to have applied again! Are you joking!?

It's definitely not worth the $300

Citibank and St. George are the absolute worse!

      • What's so bad about Citibank? Just signed up for the CitiPlus debit

Same thing happened to me. Rejected with no reason. Pretty messed up tbh

    • I'm salary packaging a new car at work and they use these guys (as well as other financial institutions) and these guys rejected financing the car yesterday because they complained I've had 14 credit card enquiries this year (I'm a serial credit card recycler and FF points hoarder). My other two salary packaged cars are through Macquarie and they've never rejected me. I've now advised my salary packager to give these guys a miss and go with trusty old Macquarie instead.

$99 annual card fee makes it probably not worth it.

    • only as long as $201 net profit is considered not worth it

    • Less than $200 profit worth it for quite few people from the old deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/474592

      • Are you eligible for this deal if you did the old deal? As this is the vertigo platinum card, vs the low rate card.

  • I got internal applications error when trying to apply. Worst system and experience ever!

  • Can anyone confirm is this deal is working? I can only see this offer from clicking through from this link. If I go to there website this card says it only offers a discounted fee of $49 for the first year. Which one is it?

As long as you apply through the link on the offer page and keep a copy of the page it should be fine.

      • If you apply through the offer link, the application summary page shows a promo code field with "Cash back". Save a copy of that page.

  • deleted Found that minimum credit is $6k in the application.
