  • So the best amount to spend is either $100 or $250 for 20% bonus.

    • Unless there's a minimum spend on the voucher too

      • I wonder if it stacks with quarterly $10 reward. Technically, $100 transaction should be qualified for it as well.

      • +1

Minimum spend for vouchers must be greater than the value of the voucher

The redemption purchase must exceed the voucher value.

    • Paying $100 for $120 worth of goods is a 16.7% discount.

  • Sweet. Will work perfectly with gift cards from Amex promo!!!

  • Just spent 100 bucks today :((

  • Should I wait 2 days to see if it's available in QLD?

    • No, I think only available at the four stores.

      • strangely just received an ikea email promoting this even though i registered in qld

    • Updated: Available at all stores nationwide according to T&Cs

One per person or multiples ?

Fyi IKEA have a 3 year return policy. You could buy an item for $250, get voucher, use voucher, return item.

    • +4

How do people feel about this?

I'm all for kerfuffle's idea, but this seems like it's gaming the system too much.

    • +1

      isn't it 365 days?

No-nonsense returns policy 365 days to change your mindSo you bought it and… it’s not quite what you’d had in mind? That’s alright! You have 365 days to return your purchase for a full refund, as long as the product is in unused and resalable condition.

It's important to us that you're happy with your IKEA purchase. If you're not totally satisfied, or simply just change your mind, you can return your products within 365 days. We will give you a full refund of the price of the goods that are returned with proof of purchase and, if possible, the packaging. We will refund you by the same method as your original payment for products. You can return any product, even if you assembled it, as long as it's in unused and re-saleable condition. If the returns criteria are not fully met, we may refuse the return or offer an exchange or gift card.

Depends if their system automatically subtracts the voucher value from the refund I guess.

    • won’t work, former returns employee, we’ll give you a portion since it’d be discontinued and old by then.

      • Prob not wait 3 years though ay. Just until you have spent the voucher, so about 3 weeks. Unopened item should get a full refund.

        • that won’t work because the checkouts are meant to keep the voucher + at returns they check the purchase history but you can try i suppose

          • @salemance: I don't think you understand the plan.

            • @Mr BoMBAStiG: He means Ikea requires proof of purchase when you return something, which is a receipt. Upon checking the receipt, the system finds you used the $20/$50 voucher after this purchase so they can deduct the amount in your refund.

      • ok…

        Hi Salemance,
If I buy gift card in store, can I get the voucher?
According to T&C, voucher can not be used to buy gift card, but no mentioning if buying gift card is eligible for getting the voucher.
        Thanks

    Why not QLD:(

    • +1

I received it this morning and I'm in QLD.

  • Just in time, got something to buy.

It says starts tomorrow but I think should be in 2 days to be Friday? Link says from 1 Nov.

    • You posted that after midnight. Which is today (Thursday), meaning that tomorrow is Friday November 1 …

      • +1

Oh lol my bad. Didn’t realise it was that late..

  • Can this be repeated? E.g., spend 250, get 50 voucher, then put the 50 voucher towards buying something 250 and get another voucher? Or even just spend 250 twice and get 2x$50 vouchers for later use?

    • The voucher terms are probably set to start after the promo

    • Can someone please verify this?
I'm looking to spend over $1k for a sofa and a few book case doors.
I purhcased some tables sometime ago using their $100 of $1000 or over purchase business offer and it turns out that it was a straight 10% off my final total.
So, even a 10% off will do.

      From website:
      "IKEA Family Member Offer
Valid Friday 1 November - Monday 11 November

Shop in-store and receive an IKEA voucher to save on your next visit between 12 November – 31 December 2019.

Spend between $100 to $249.99 and receive a $20 voucher.
Spend over $250 and receive a $50 voucher."

So looks like you can only use the voucher from the 12 November onwards (ie: after the promo ends)

      • So if i buy something for $249 to get the $50 voucher and then return it does the voucher also get void ?

    • T&Cs state:

Members may qualify multiple times for this offer during the Promotion period, but each original voucher can only be redeemed once.

I think it means you will get 2x$50 vouchers with 2x$250+ spend.

  • My store is Rhodes but once I click on the Terms & Condition is opening the main page where I can select the Terms. There aren't any for this special in Rhodes, only for Perth There is written: 2) The offer is only open to customers who have received the Spend
and Save voucher in their mailbox during the offer period.

Haven't got any email yet :-(

    • Promotion is open to all IKEA Family members in all stores nationwide, no need to wait for the email.

      • Thanks. I called IKEA and they confirm it as well

  • Terms & Conditions – IKEA Family spend and save comes out and says

Members are eligible to earn a $10 voucher when they spend $100-$249 in one
    transaction during the Promotion Period.

    What a crap promotion!

  • Is off-white x ikea releasing in Australia?

  • -1

Will it work with gift card purchase?

  • Thanks op, finally grabbed a JÄRVFJÄLLET (a fancier markus). Stacked with $10 welcome offer.

  • Not applicable to online order?

    • In-store only

IKEA Family members who make a qualifying purchase during the Promotion period in-store will qualify for a voucher to be redeemed during the Redemption Period.

  • Shop in store and get it deliver still OK I assume.

But delivery a $149 TV unit will cost $89 XD

  • Found this on their Promotion's T&C. So if i buy and return the item, they will deduct the voucher value?

If a claimant wishes to return one or more product(s) from their qualifying
transaction for which they received the offer, and as a result the purchase of
product(s) to be returned would result in the qualifying transaction changing the
eligible discount amount the claimant may return the product(s) in accordance
with the IKEA standard refund terms and conditions and consumer law, to receive
a refund for the amount of the returned product(s) less the discount received
