A dude in a suit riding a scooter with a helmet is one of the funniest things I’ve seen.

Don't do it, they are absolute garage. Be sure to read around the reviews of these things. Loosing connection to the second battery is common, and has occurred on a 150km old scooter. Motor/Controller issues are common. My scooter which has been used on foot and cycle paths only is now slamming on it's ebrake and loosing throttle on its all during riding. These are very unfriendly to ride and genuine parts all but don't exist.

  • "Segway's official Milton QLD store". Really?

    • Hey Dave,

That's right, we've just opened in Brisbane! This is because Queensland is the first state in Australia to officially legalise the public use of privately owned scooters.

  • The only one from Segway I will get is the Max. That’s not on special is it?

    • $999 is the cheapest I’ve seen for the max.

    • Thanks for the question, mate.
The Max is also 15% off with the PLAYNOW code. Also, we highly recommend going to authorised resellers (currently JB Hi-Fi, E-Riderz, and ourselves) to buy any Segway products. These are the only places to provide official warranty coverage and where you can be assured you have a genuine product. We have had several complaints from customers who have gone to the unauthorised market and received poor/zero after-purchase service.

  • illegal in NSW.. you'll be booked if riding on streets, especially dressed like those 'corporate peeps'.. unless you're 5 yr kid… with 'corporate attire'

    • That's right, mate. They're officially not legal in NSW and are currently undergoing plans for a trial with several hire companies. However many people do ride them in Sydney regardless and seem to have very little issues.

NSW coppa books anything that can make money… even when you pick your nose, they'll wait until you try to flick it

  • There is hope for Victoria: https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/city-of-port-phi…

It's such a great way to commute for a short distance to the train or bus. People always complain about fewer carparks - we will not be able to build more - we need different and smarter ways of transport.

  • Any deals going on the Xiaomi M365 sub-$500?
