apparently it was $269 on Amazon in August.
The 935 is a better deal when it is available at $399 which happens regularly.
I agree, however this is a decent price point for this model I think.
I haven't seen the 935 on sale for quite a while, but Christmas is getting close so I wouldn't be surprised.

It does. Running, Cycling and Open Water GPS swimming too.

It all comes down to your budget and what you need it for. I do triathlons and this watch does all I need.
If you want/need for hiking and cross country I think a Fenix is the way to go.Damn, i just bought the samsung galaxy active 2 at rebels for $449

I have the 235 and it’s a great GPS fitness watch but it’s no comparison to my Huawei W1 smart watch for smart watch use.
I’m happy using the Garmin for fitness and the W1 for daily usage though I’d love to merge the two together.Is the Huawei GT2 the upgraded model of the W1?
No the W1 was superseded by the Huawei watch 2.
Then the GT versions came after that.
The W1 was released back in sept 2015. Mines still going great.
You'll get all the notifications etc but only way to reply is pre typed replies. They are more fitness then smart. I have a 245 and I use it to track my mountain bike rides.

I did this for my Fenix 5 which I got for $550, also had yes, making it about $450 out of pocket
At this price point, would the FR 735XT be appropriate for someone that runs 10km? Wouldn't have much use for the swimming function
I have the FR 235 and love it for runs. The 735 has more running dynamic data which can be useful. Epic watches.
