i figure most people know the specs of the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro so not going to waste time posting all the specs in the description but here is a link to them https://www.mi.com/global/mi-9-t-pro/specs

just thought this was worth pointing out for people looking for cheapest price currently available for this phone and storage size

basically combines the 2 promos geekbuying are running right now the geekbuying pre black friday Save $10 USD for Orders over $100 USD,(geekbuying have confirmed that even though this item should qualify for the Save $20 for Orders over $200 it does not work when tried in checkout as profit margins are too slim at the price they are selling it at)

plus you need to also pay with paypal to get a further 5% off brings total payable to $528.49 AUD Shipped ,

also if you use cashrewards 3.5% cashback i had $18.36 cashback tracked after payment cleared so once cashback comes within 90 days its only $510.03 which is best price i have been able to find anywhere

Australia Priority shipping is also free just to make it a better deal :)

    • is that just while this black friday promo is running? i didn't bother to add it to deal as i just thought it was standard that you could change it to Australia Priority shipping for free, put my order in last night so will see how quick shipping is , i assume there is the standard 48hrs of sending order to warehouse and all that before it starts the Priority shipping.

now if i could just find a decent wallet case for this phone i would be happy, had a spigen slim armor cs case for my galaxy S7 for last 3 years and was perfect could hide the 3 actual cards i needed in the back like ID, debit card and health care card having to go back to carrying a wallet too is going to be annoying, looks like my only option for wallet cases with this phone are flip wallets that dont look like they offer much protection like my spigen did

so if anyone has any deals for wallets let me know as i guess if i have to choose i would rather have decent protected phone, i know the phone comes with a case but looks very basic and does not offer much protection either

      • Some products will have it set to free while others have low prices. All depends on packaging size.

Standard processing time doesn't change for the shipping methods.

    IR?

    • +3

no IR or wireless charging other then that its top tier phone for price.

      • -2

About the 2 things that's stopping me getting this over the p30 pro 🤔

        • +3

It's less than half the price though.

        • +1

Divide P30 pro price by 2 = mi 9t pro.

        • +6

Who needs wireless charging when you can plug in for 10 mins and get another 15%?
          And 30 mins gets 50%?

    • +1

IR is also really important for me.
I won't buy any phone without IR. Still using my Galaxy S5, which is one of the only IR phones with NFC, a high IP rating, MicroSD, 3.5mm Jack.

      • +2

what do you use an IR blaster on a phone for in this day and age, most TV's have apps you can install on your phone to control them over wifi now, if you really need IR blaster, this phone still has 3.5mm jack you could buy an adapter that plugs into that.

        • +1

Most modern TVs, yes, but I use IR to control my TVs, my Aircon, My amplifiers, Logitech speaker systems and so much more.
Native IR control apps don't support the LED blasters that plug into the 3.5mm jack, nor do I want to leave that in all the time.

          • @Xebozone: What app do you use for all this?
Might give it a go with my LGv20.

            • @PVA: AnyMote … although it's not really supported, it's still my favorite remote app. I have all my custom remotes in there.

I'm so close to pulling the trigger on this phone but haven't been able to work out if VoWifi (or VoLTE but less important) works on Telstra. Is anyone able to confirm/comment? I have no reception at all at home so VoWifi is essential

    • It's not officially supported but xiaomi (uniquely) has dialer codes that force on VoLTE and VoWIFI regardless of carrier approval. Never had much use for VoWIFI so can't really comment on that but the VoLTE definitely worked on Telstra - held 4G while on call and showed as a "HD" call in dialer.

      https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/how-to/wifi-calling-vo…

Edit - upcoming MIUI 11 updates may or may not change this, it's been the same through previous MIUI versions but assume nothing… just don't know 100% for sure yet.

    • I have k20 PRO china version and VOLTE works fine on BOOST. Not sure about VOWIFI though.

        • Yeah, 11 9.10.17 but using MIUI PRO. Has some handy features which MIUI lacks and less bloatware.

          • @[Deactivated]: still based on android 9 or is MIUI PRO running on 10? what sort of handy features i am all about getting rid of bloat and adding more features but also as will have global version i think i might just wait for MIUI 11 on android 10 to launch first.

            • @FreoIsaac: Running 10 with security October update. The default xiaomi app suite is still there but compare to EU/Global not much but in terms of china based it much better.

Just some features from custom roms such as number of rows/columns in quick settings, change size of status bar clock. Music control via volume button such as next track.

              • @[Deactivated]: any issues with banking apps like NAB or google pay via NFC not working?

                • @FreoIsaac: NAB/Ubank login fine, but I don't personally use google play/mobile payment but I assume it should work. If it working on EU/Global it assume it should work with MIUI Pro.

  • +1

Tempting. But I must cling on to my Nokia 8 for one more year.

    • +1

      Great

  • +3

upvoted for great description in your deal.

yes, must make my axon 7 last another year. I'll wait until all phones have the x10 zoom or better.

  • If this deal was extended till the 29th, could work with the PayPal 20% off with up to $40. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/491557

    • well the original Pre Black Friday Sale Promotion finishes on 29 Oct but just not sure if this Flash Deals price will still be the same as item page has it finishing in 4 days 2hrs.

  • At the moment, no VoLTE on Telstra or Boost for the Mi 9T Pro. Source? I have one. And the dialler codes for VoLTE and VoWifi are not recognised by Telstra. Based on prior experience with a Mi Mix 2S, it takes a month or 2 for Telstra to enable newly released devices (apart from the ones it sells) on VoLTE.
LTE discovery shows Band 28/700MHz LTE, just not voice over…

    • Grr. I definitely need VoWifi as I get zero reception at home. Guess my Note9 lives on for a little longer.

For anyone who has this phone, whats the camera like?

    • From my understanding, the rear cameras are the same as mine (mi9). So the cameras are decent but struggles with low light. Standard higher spec cheaper phones situation.
Good phone overall and good enough photo quality.

    • +1

The GCam APK makes the cameras (front and rear) very good indeed for photos, especially in low/night light.

  • So want to upgrade to this from the mi9

    Thanks for the listing

  • Looks like Coupon code 'GKB10PP' has reached it daily 100 limit use.

    • +1

Just extended it for another 200 orders 😉

  • Any deals on the 8/256 model?

    • not here but on tobydeals they do $635.55 but only 1.5% cashback. and you can't use any of there current promo codes as they have the constant 5% off running on it. so is 2GB more RAM and double storage worth extra $115

      • Given you can't expand it I'd say $100 for double capacity is fair.
Might hit up Toby see if they can do a ozb deal

        • +1

          That would be great.
I'm waiting on a good ozb deal on the 8GB/256 variant

      • I'd stay away from toby deals, purchased this exact same phone 9t Pro from them 3 days ago, didnt get a shipping update.
When I sent an email asking when it will be shipped they said it wasn't in stock (the listing said it was in stock) and they were waiting on a third party supplier to let them know when they can get more.
Very poor customer service from Toby Deals

  • Hey, any deals on regular Mi 9T (non-Pro)?

  • -1

A word of warning when you part with your hard earned money. Pray you can get a refund from this business if you have to return it for quality issues. I never got my money back for an Android TV Box I returned even if they confirmed they received it

    • i did get a refund when i first made order 3-4 days ago i must of left the page open and come back and i just hit add to cart from main page and did not look that i had added the blue 64GB model was not until i got paypal email showing $499 i saw the mistake, quickly hit them up via live chat and first they wanted to charge me $30 USD to just change the order but i told them i was also using a cashback site and that would just screw up all the tracking so asked if they could just cancel the order and i would do a new order once refund came back, did it no problems got refund back in paypal yesterday. also used shopback first time i ordered so did not track as much cashback as cashrewards did.

did you use paypal, why not just make claim through paypal once they confirmed they had received it and not going to replace it under warranty.

      • Yes. I paid via paypal. Paypal sided with the seller and closed my dispute because the seller refused to confirm they received the goods I sent back. I provided the sellers email that confirmed they received the item, but apparently paypal didn't think that was enough.

  • Seems like the coupon code has reached it's maximum usage?

    • +1

      It's working now.

      • Thanks!

      • Um, i'm getting $541 instead of $528?

        Order Subtotal : AU$ 556.32
        Shipping Cost : AU$ 0.00
        Coupon Amount : -AU$ 15.04
        Grand Total : AU$ 541.28

        • The 5% PayPal discount has now ended. It was restricted to the first 10,000 orders.

  • +1

Awesome price. I've had my 9t pro for a fortnight now, paid 570ish for it in the blue. Best phone I've ever owned.

  • Is it possible to install lineage OS on this?

  • How does it compare the MI 9?

  • Sorry for this naive post in advance as I'm not really a tech person and I just need a mid-price phone for me and wifey. How is this phone compare to LG V30? What about the warranty for this phone/seller? Thank you.

  • Does this model have ads?

  • What advantages does this telephone have on, say, a P90 - which I can also afford.

  • OP, Any chance a similar deal is coming back? Keen to jump on something similar.

    • +1

well the pre-black friday sale is still running , will give you abit of a discount just using the code but not as much as when you combined it with 5% off paying with paypal but that expired, someone else pointed out earlier that if this deal was still running as of 29th you could get 20% off (max $40) using AMEX paying with paypal but looks like its targeted and not available until after the 30th at this point your prob better off waiting for 11/11 aliexpress deals china singles day alot of these sites selling grey imports will have sales if not black friday/cyber monday sales

    • +1

so looks like Singles day pricing up on ali express has it at around $530 before coupons but expect longer shipping then tobydeals or geekbuying. you could hit up tobydeals or geekbuying see if they will price match for the 11//11 prices i know geekbuying do try to price match when they can. i asked tobydeals if they would be running any promos and they said no at the time but were prob just trying to get me to go ahead and buy it at there $550 price.
