this has been around for ever, i use it all the time.

    • works

      • Not now it doesn't

  • Been around forever I really wish they'd extend the days you can use it to include Sat/Sun during the day

Yeah so do I, also wish they would bring back the old offer where you could get single tickets for I think it was $9 or $10 each. It is a pain in the ass that you have to have another person go with you to get discount now..

  • RACQ $10 tickets, can be used any time except after 5pm on saturday. Also $7.90 monday tickets.

    • RACWA have a similar deal but its $11 problem is that you either have to go instore or they mail out the tickets not sure if the mailed out voucher can then be used online but I suspect not so you would have to redeem at the event counter. I've just ordered some so will find out soon enough.

The great thing about the optus ones is that you just click through the optus link and it takes you straight to the event site to buy the tickets online much better IMHO.

I wonder if it works for liveconnected users too haha :P

  • so…I signed up and picked the 2 for $19 deal..picked cinema and was brought to the event cinemas website.
I tried a bunch of regular non-3d movies for the next few days (mon-thurs) and every time I click on a session it just shows me the regular prices.
Is there any special way to choose the 2 for $19 deal? or is it just supposed to show up when choosing tickets? I'm not getting anything =[.

also, the address bar shows http://www.eventcinemas.com.au/sessions?custParam=isoptus=true;optuscustid=(myemailaddress) while im picking movies which seems like it should be working..

    • Which cinema are you trying ?

Edit You're right its not working just tried it for my local and couldn't get it to work but I have used it plenty of times in the past so must be a temporary glitch give it a couple of hours and try again.

  • trying any QLD cinema not workding same as mrdavedave

  • Not working for me either when trying to make a booking at Parramatta NSW for Thursday, only brings up the normal cost. It usually brings up a separate option to book Optus tickets above the normal adult prices, weird.

  • Could be because it's school holidays.

If you read the Terms & Conditions, it says the offer is only valid until June 30th, 2011.

Which means the offer has expired.

    • I watched harry potter last week on this offer. Weird!

    • Well so it does hmmmm you would think if they weren't going to offer it anymore they would just remove the site. I have emailed them asking will post back if I get a reply

      • if anyone uses facebook can you post on their page asking about it, that should get a prompt response. I dont use it or i'd do it myself

  • Oh your kidding me? Surely they will extend it..

I do not go to the movies unless tickets are less than $10 each and this is the way I was doing that..

  • EXPIRED- T & C's- All offers are valid until 30 June 2011.

  • does not seem to work anymore….. zzzzz
