6764

Update : I am getting THE Drone and many more ozb mates.

Thanks Bunnings for making all of us SUPER HAPPY

—————-

Shhhhh.. 🤫 …. Enjoy :)

Note : Check your PICKUP LOCATION or You may End up travelling to another state.

Or You can get it for $1999 @ JB Hi-Fi or HN if that is nearby ;-)

The Mavic 2 Zoom from DJI is a professional quality film making drone that gives you the ability to get closer to the action, thanks to its 2x 24-48mm optical zoom camera with a 1/2.3" 12MP sensor. With 4x lossless zoom (including 2x optical zoom) you can capture sensitive subjects from an even greater distance. There's even a single-tap aerial mode called Dolly Zoom that gives a Hitchcockian effect to your footage.

The Mavic 2 Zoom utilizes a low-drag aerodynamic body design for achieving speeds up to 47.7 mph, a four-cell LiPo battery for up to 31 minutes of flight time, and low-noise propellers for filming without being distracting. This power and performance are coupled with a variety of shooting modes and capabilities for cinematic results.

In order to help keep the Mavic 2 Zoom safe and in control, DJI has provided OcuSync 2.0 video transmission technology that can transmit a video feed to the included controller from up to 5 miles away in Full HD 1080p quality. There's also omnidirectional obstacle sensing that provides object avoidance with sensors on all sides of the Mavic 2 Zoom.

lucky for bunnings these were not stocked on shelves but are special orders.

    • This would have been the only way you could have got it at this price, if the stock was literally walking at the door due to scanning incorrectly.

      • +2

I doubt the stock would have been literally walking out the door.

        • -3

Please don't take the word literally so literally.

For those who have paid and received an email confirmation, would they legally need to supply?

Since according to their own policy page:

"We will be bound to supply you the Goods when Bunnings accepts your order (but not before), and you will then be bound to pay for them. Delivery is within 30 days of us accepting the order except where we advise you otherwise. Online orders will be regarded as accepted once payment has been processed and you have received an email order confirmation from us."

    • +7

No, because they specifically exclude pricing errors from that obligation.

No one will be getting the drone for that price.

    • Take it to the supreme Court of you have to

    • Just an OFFER to buy and an OFFER to sell..
until you have something actually in your hands that's where any transaction stands, ie. a reversible no-man's-land… backed up in the fine print as the other poster stated.

  • Waiting for my confirmation message…. ding…. Oh what's this ah just my wife's ring for Christmas…..BOOOOOO

  • +1

Went in store, waited with about 5 others who wanted it too. Staff spoke with head office and the supplier who said they would not be honouring any orders at that price. So unfortunately there'll be no winners in this round of ozbargain lottery🙁

  • girl at the special orders desk called HQ and confirmed all orders will be refunded. it's a pricing error

  • +21

I’d like to know how many Oz Bargain members slipped on onions rushing past the sausage sizzle on their way to the special orders desk?

    • +2

This actually made me laugh a little.

    • -3

Zero… all were too eager to get the deal done…

    • +1

None now the onion is tucked in securely under the sausage 🤣🤣🤣

    • +1

Sausage sizzle not on weekdays. Slackers.

      • My local store does weekday sizzles

        • +1

          😮

      • Do they still do the tradie breaky midweek?

  • +2

The items you see on Special Orders are sold by third-party sellers. This will become more apparent when they turn on their marketplace website in the next few weeks.

  • Order around 8:10am and showing in Order History now, but no receipt.

Deosn't really matter becuase now I'm just waiting for a refund.

  • I don't care that they cancel the order, it was obviously a price error but I hate the delay in getting refunded. Of they cancel they should refund immediately.

    • Goes with the territory

    • If it was so obvious to you, then you should have known better than to participate.

      • Gotta be in it to win it

        • gotta wait for the refund when not

      • So now I'm a $250 Bunnings voucher better off than having not ordered it! Like I said you gotta be in it.

    • Took 7 days to receive refund from Qantas before

      • you were one of the lucky one, some have to wait 2 weeks or more

    • Well now you lose, you'll have to wait for refund like everyone else.

  • +2

Just got my phone call :-(

    • Did you purchased yours online or instore ?

    • Was it from a mobile number? I got a call from a mobile number not sure if it is Bunnings

      • This was via the power pass url. It was my local store that called me, she said that they physically call and place an order and were told that they aren't going ahead.

  • +1

Sure its most likely a pricing error BUT play enough of them some definitely get pass the cracks :)

Some guys here would have smashed more numbers than me but I'm around 15% with some crazy ones getting through !

  • +19

Cudos to OP! he sacrificed his own secret deal for us. Im sure if he ordered the one, bunnings would have definitely fulfilled it.

    • +7

It popped up on pricehipster so it wasn't going to be his secret for long..

      • +1

i didn't even know bunnings sold drones. some dont even know bunnings have a online store!

        • Yeah but lots of people here track any highly discounted items on pricehipster

    • Exactly my thoughts. If he bought it and didn't post it here then he had a good chance of receiving it.

      • and being lynched by the angry mob here for not sharing it…

    • Not really, price error is price error. They would have cancelled anyway since its "special order" and there was actually none in stock in stores.

  • They dont have enough staff in the call center either

  • +8

BUNNINGS: Where lowest prices are just the beginning…and tears are just the ending.

    • I dare someone to call up and ask if they can price beat JB on the drone..

  • -7

I decided to venture into my local Bunnings store and speak to one of the head managers, thinking I might be able to plead a case. Long story short, I was informed that had only a few been ordered then they would have honoured the price error in good faith. However, because there was so many orders the head office has decided to cancel and refund all orders.

    • Word of mouth alone would be enough to smash things regardless of sites like ozbgargain. The price is too good.

    • +3

This was always going to happen, its not like it was one Bunnings having the pricing error, it was across the nation. You didn't need to speak to the manager to figure that out

    • So they're going to honor the first few orders? Great! Can't wait!

      • No, he said because there was so many orders, "ALL" orders will be cancelled.

    • +1

Oz bargain NEWBEE’s wreck it again. (people that come across these kind of deals will stop posting to protect their 1 order, and I think so they should) we are all sorry BA but no one looked at your 🤫shhhhhhh…

    • +4

So you asked a head manager if they would sell below cost because you pleaded? Wow. OzBargain extreme.

      • Lol plead his case… what, was he terminally ill? Some people, I tell you…

        • +6

          he only wanted 10 units

          • @teros: For him and his closest mates he is yet to meet via gumtree

    • +5

i think the OP deserves kudos for sacrificing the small chance he had to quickly get an order into the morning

  • The normal price for this item at Bunnings is $2,351.14

    • +1

Harsh that someone negged you, it was pertinent information.

  • +1

Just got the phone call to cancel the order. Shows over everyone.

    • +1

Seems like a waste of time to be calling people individually, why not just send bulk emails to everyone?

      • This was for my over the phone order. I imagine my online order will be cancelled via email.

    • Same, and I ordered through PowerPass account… better luck next time folks

  • did anyone actually get this?

    • No one will get it, all orders will be refunded (according to Bunnings).

    • no everyone got cancelled

  • OzB gathering w Mavic 2 here we come!

    • +4

if they had fulfilled them orders we could have hosted our own ozbargain version of the lady gaga superbowl half time show with all these drones

  • +3

    GOT PHONE CALL :)

I knew what that call was going to be :)

they are going to be busy !!

  • Peace out kids, if you magically got one, good work!

    • i read that as Wood work… ha

  • Why dont they just send a bulk email? Surely phone calls are going to take ages!

    • +1

      This.

However they must be confident they have enough staff on the phones and want to personalize the apology, fair play to them if thats the case.

      • the call was from the local Bunnings… all depends on where you were to 'pick' it up…

        almost 3 hours of fun… ended….

  • -8

I took a screen shot on my phone that the price was correct as at 0701 17/10/2019. They then can't say that the price was incorrect can they?

    • +3

They can. What are you going to do about it? Sue them? Someone indicated this is a listing from a third party seller using Bunnings online platform.
      It is a gadget.

      • +1

Ooo, screenshot, everyone is going to so scare of you now :P

  • Got the call :(

  • +1

I believe the Drone will be delivered itself :) so watch out for incoming drone.

I think they will cancel all order.

  • +1

    28k clicks and counting…

    • They had stock?

      • They had 2 behind the counter in the tool shop near all he Google homes

    • +2

Please send photo of the drone with the receipt. Orelse be prepared to be negged!!!

    • +1

…bs. they dont stock these in store :)

    • Keysborough Bunnings has everything!

  • +4

If I stay quiet with the comments, will Bunnings not notice me and fulfill my order?

    • nope.

    • Well i have no email or phone call so….

      • Did you order one?

        • Yep, at 7.50am. AMEX was charged immediately.

      • +13

        It was a joke comment.
