If anyone wants, they can have my copy of this game on the PS4, not a fan!

    • Thanks, but I don't have a PS4.

It's disappointing to hear that it's not that good (I loved Borderlands 2).

    • Trade it in (or sell on eBay) and get a different game? This is OzBargain after all…

    • Why did you even buy it if you're not a fan?

    • Umm… yes please.

    • if you work near sydney cbd, i'd happily take it off your hands :)

      • Unfortunately, I'm in Perth

        • Um, I'm in Perth and gladly take it off your hands, would cheer the other half up after their neanderthal dimwit of a housemate "accidentally" reversed into their dog while we were camping over the school hols.

Actually, the dimwit is an EX-housemate now.

  • Good game. Long campaign, lots of replay options with the different classes and modes. The most annoying thing was the dialogue. NPCs just don't shut up!

    • Lol. Claptrap was really funny in Borderlands 2.

I'm guessing there's no option to turn character volume off, or change to closed captions instead of voice?

I'd just turn game volume off or really low, from memory sound is not relevant in game (unless you use headphones for directional awareness) but without the sound it'd be like playing half a game.

The problem is is that there are scripted prompts, so you cannot progress with the mission until the NPC has finished their dialogue. This gets old very quickly on TVHM or on another character.

I am a massive Borderlands fan. I played BL2 solid for 2 years and at the moment, I'm not too sure how much more BL3 has without adding more content. Gearbox are currently changing skills weekly which means that farming for hours is risky as it might become obsolete.

If you are a Borderlands fan there is no doubt you will find it fun, but at the moment, I'm not seeing the longevity that BL2 (or 1) had.

        • Oh man, I guess I'll have to wait for a bigger discount, just in case it's not that good, hopefully they will have fixed these problems by then.

If your prepared to do a little downloading (57GB) and you'd prefer the PC Digital download version, you can access the Epic Games website with a VPN (PIA for me) with Brazil node and an email account created on the same VPN to purchase via Brazil for $122.99 BRL. When using PayPal this equates to $46.49 AUD. Thats the best price I could find for the PC version and it does work.

On Xbox it's really tricky to buy from Brazil region, because they often have the cheapest prices.

US, Canada, etc via VPN is easy because the pricing is similar (although you usually get games 5-50% cheaper from those regions than from Australia).

There is probably a lot of BL3 keys about to hit the market from the amd/Samsung promos. Should be 50 easy on classifieds

    • care to provide any other details? Do you need the VPN connected during just the purchase or the full download? Or even while playing?

      Cheers!

just the email setup and purchase phase. Download and playing doesnt need the VPN, just an active connection..

  • PC version is still over $70, makes no sense seeing as it has no split screen and you can never sell it…
