Quantum Core: The plural of server is servers. It is not server's.

Urgh - you have apostrophes everywhere throughout your site.

Thank you for your feedback. We will get that fixed.

      • Decent deal. I need a aussie vpn for light use.
Is the server IP address static ?

        • Quantum Core Customers may not initiate the following (below), if any customer does Quantum Core may terminate the account with no refund. Depending on the situation there will/won't be warnings sent.

Too bad you can't run any server software.

          • @askbargain: Was planning to setup NextCloud there, thanks for pointing it out!

            • @juns: Hi juns,

Next Cloud is fine as long as the data isn't illegal/copyright. Go ahead!

You do know how to make customer feel happy!

That should give me plenty of time to evaluate how good the servers are!

Yes Minecraft is fine. Enjoy killing those creepers lagg free :)

          • @askbargain: Thanks. Pays to read

          • @askbargain: Hi again gorillainwil,

I've gone ahead and updated this specific line as it was unclear of our intent for this rule… however, as per our last conversation:

If you find your use may be against our AUP, or unsure….

Reach out to our support and let us know what your intended use is. We have made many exceptions for legitimate, non abusive users and happy to make more!

We've had to implement a strict AUP as we found a lot of signups were purely to abuse our network and generous bandwidth allocation.

        • @shadowangel Yep, all of our plans include a static IPv4 (and Ipv6 if needed).

  • Howdy, does the $50 free credit have an expiration date?

In the FAQ on the linked page it says:

Nope! You can use this credit however you'd like. This credit also does not expire.

  • Any plans on Perth servers?

    • What kind of ping are you getting anyway?

      • With the test IP, a rather high 70…according to internet standards(or at least what people believe is optimal) that's not good enough….hahahaha needs be sub 30…

        • That is very high. I thought WA people usually get around 30 anyway. Must be their routing.

          • +1

@askbargain: I don't think that I've ever seen anyone in WA get a ping of 30 to Sydney, is it even possible? I've played a bit of Counterstrike and on the Perth servers I always got a ping of around 60-70.

Might be a good idea for Zachary to ping other Sydney servers to see what kind of latency he gets. If it's the same then no Sydney providers will be a help for him :(

            • @elementz: got any other Sydney servers for me to ping with?

I don't think that I've ever seen anyone in WA get a ping of 30 to Sydney, is it even possible?

according to @gorillainwild it is….but I'm guessing you would have to be on labor's nbn and not the liberal's screwed up version….

              • @Zachary: I did find this host that you could ping -

                syd1.speedtest.telstra.net

How good would it have been if we all got FTTP…

                • @elementz: i got around 70-ish….

                  • @Zachary: Yeah, looks like local hops may be adding some latency :(

A new modem might help with your latency to Sydney but it could just be your connection.

You might just have to wait for quantum to set up a Perth server or look for a local VPS host in Perth.

            • @elementz: https://www.aussiebroadband.com.au/ping-times/

It seems Perth to Sydney is 50ms. To Melbourne it is 35ms, which is thought would be the same for Sydney.

              • @askbargain: Didn't you say that Perth to Sydney is usually 30ms tho?

Using Aussie's looking glass and testing from Perth, I get 50 ms to the provided test IP so the routing seems to be fine from at least Aussie's network.

Looks like hops close to Zachary could be causing the latency. I know with my shitty connection that I have the same latency issues even when a server is close by :(

                • @elementz: I should have been more clear. I meant Perth to east side. For some weird reason, their routing to Melbourne is faster than Sydney.

                  • @askbargain: All good chief. Since Zach is pinging to the test IP, I thought you meant that the latency to Syd should be 30ms.

Hopefully quantum do help you out with a node in Perth tho Zach.

        • I'm getting 47ms. Lucky!

    • Hi Zachary,

Hopefully we are all across Australia in the not to distant future!

However no timeline at this stage.

      Cheers

      • awww….
